when my 360 got the red ring i comely walked over to the nearest wall and hit it and broke 3 fingers luckily when my 360  got back my hand was healed

It still has a RRD after 2 "fixes". I now am happy with my PS3.

3 Xbox 360's in my apartment, and have yet to have a RRoD.

Returned it got my money back and got another and then threw a brick at Bill Gates house.

When my 360 got RROD, I freaked out, swore for a while and the left it alone. Then the next morning I was punished, didn't play my 360 for a month and it was fine after that.  I was pretty stoked that I didn't have to pay to get it fixed.

well it was still under warranty the first two times it red ringed... the third time it was not. i had no idea what i was going to do, and then two days later they annmounced the xbox 360-S. a couple days after that it released, and i got it and my 360-S and i have lived happily ever after.

The first time it happened I got it fixed hassle free.

The second time Microsoft customer service wouldn't even respond, so I got a Ps3.

And I've been happy ever since.

Yes the PS3 is amazing still surprised how good it has gotten in the past 2yrs because when it launched Resistance was the only and I mean only good game for awhile.

i've had 4, paid retail for 2 of em since the warranty wasn't good anymore. After the third time i bought a ps3 and stuck with that for awhile. Then about a month ago, i was missing the fact that the 360 has a quality controller and the ps3 has a god awful pc of junk controller with over a 10 year old design and cheap parts. Broke down and bought another 360. i've had it a month and maybe played 20 hours on it, even though it has a warranty im actually afraid to play for long sessions due to the RROD. When you're afraid to play your game console, thats when microsoft needs to seriously consider what they've done to us

I just shrugged mailed it to microsoft got my shiny and sleek new one and kept on gaming. Ok, it did not go as smoothly as that but it did go by pretty fast! It wasn't that much of a bummer in all honesty.

Haven't gotten it yet, but I have had the disc tray problem.  But now I bought the new xbox so I'll never see the RRoD.  Buwahahaha.

The first time it happened was August 2008 one month before Halo 3 came out. Luckily I got my 360 back before Halo 3 launch.

The second time it happened was sometime during 2009, but nothing was coming out so I don't remember when... I did the towel trick for about a week.

This year I traded in my 360 for an arcade because my 360 was showing signs it may RROD. This was well before E3 and now I kinda regret it because I could have just gotten a Slim if I waited,
