The lights are on
Apparently at CES , Microsoft announced Toy soldiers Boot Camp, Splinter Cell Conviction, and a bunch of other stuff.
Hard to see how Conviction would work on a mobile device. Hopefully better than Assassins Creed.
I have a Windows 7 Phone. I like it and have quite a few games on it--mostly the free ones. I think the only ones I paid for wereTentacles when it was on sale (it's really cool), and ilomilo which is just charming as hell.
Here are some free ones with Achievements:
Flowerz
Breeze
Minesweeper
Shuffle Party
Sudoku
Hey Hazard, I remember you from the old forum, I used to be Onett Hero. This site is completely impossible to recover old log in info so I just gave up and made a new account.
Tentacles rocks.
You are right phone gaming usually sucks. There are very few game that don't feel cumbersome and broken.
Hydro Thunder was just on sale and I got that and it runs amazing and looks gorgeous, no broken controls. I actually like it better than the XBLA version.
Something else Id like to see more of is games that sync with games on my Xbox, only a few do now. Fable Coin Golf gets you money in fable 3 , and there's the sentient mech rts that let ls you level on the go. Way more of that would rock, like leveling up RPG monsters via the phone, or something like that.

Oh hey! It seems very few of the "old crew" are still around anymore. The Nintendo fanboys are worse than ever. At this point, though, this is about the only message board I linger on anymore having generally ditched all the others I was on because I don't have enough time for all this nonsense. I submit a lot of stuff to MobyGames' massive database, but have rarely used the message boards there.
I may grab Hydro Thunder. Is Sentient Mech the name of the game? I may look into that one, too. I just noticed that the guy that made I MAED A GAM3 WITH Z0MB1ES IN IT!!!!11 made an official Xbox Live enabled Phone version (Z0MB1ES(on teh ph0ne).
As far as I'm concerned, the only thing keeping the Windows Phone gaming from being truly awesome is the half-hearted implementation with Xbox 360 games. More stuff like earning money for Fable III and leveling up for existing games.
I have a WP7 with Mango and I love the phone! I mainly use it for email and Machinima.com video. I have the standard Live free games, haven't bought a premium game yet.
I’m a Green Gamer! I support used, borrowed, lent or rented games!
