The lights are on
I wonder how much of this is actually "the game was bad" and how much is "it wasn't Bungie so I'm not going to give it a fair shot no matter what" ?
You mean if they actually played it? Come to think about it, if they had that kind of prejudice against the game they shouldn't have bought it. They probably didn't.
So you would want him basically to be a robot?
The competitive multiplayer is as slick as ever. In fact, it's one of the parts of the game I think that is very well done.
Other parts of the game I applaud are the audio work, voice acting and cutscenes.
There isn't much for me to talk about concerning the gamplay. It's the same old Halo gameplay. It's not bad but after 4 or 5 games, the excitement wore off 3 games ago.
The A.I. isn't that good. The Protheans are a little more interesting due to the Watchers but taking those out ASAP and the Knights and Crawlers become bullet sponges. The Covies are the same ol' Covies. Grunts are a headshot away from death, Elites predictably leap/roll right into my crosshairs.
The Prothean weapons are cool looking and awesome sounding (again, superb audio) but they're just analogs to the UNSC weapons. Pistol, shotgun, assault rifle, sniper rife, semi-auto rifle, grenade, etc. Nothing new here, really. Much more satisfying to shoot, though.
UNSC wheeled vehicles feel a lot more floaty than I remember. This isn't bad but certainly feels different. Not sure why this was changed. My biggest gripe here is that while Chief is on foot, even the slightest contact with an A.I. controlled vehicle that's barely moving results in death.
I understand not fixing what isn't broken or reinventing the wheel but from the reviews I read, most of which were 9 or better, I expected a game that was something new and exciting and not just a better looking and sounding remake.
I like the characters but the middle-section of the story felt like a flimsy excuse to move to another area and shoot more bad guys.
All that typed, I did in fact like the first 15 or so minutes and the last 15 or so minutes of the campaign. The beginning felt new and a bit mysterious and the end was a good way to lead into Halo 5.
It's a solid game but on my own scale, it's not a 9+. More like a 7.5.
I hope that better explains why I didn't find the game that great. And now I will google who Mario Balotelli is.
Mario Balotelli is an awesome Italian soccer player who plays in Man City and took off his shirt, flexed his muscles and glared at the ref as a celebration for a goal in the EURO. That was awesome.
I was feeling burned by the Halo franchise after ODST and Reach. I actually did not buy Halo 4, but won a copy in a contest at work. I really enjoyed the campaign. The visuals are amazing. The multiplayer is solid, but not as deeply customizable as some other shooters. Consider it like this... I love pizza, but I am not going to eat it 7 days a week. Enjoy your Halo 4.
Nothing good comes from these posts...
END OF LINE
The campaign was lackluster and the multiplayer was shallow in gametype/map combinations. In other words, an extension.
While by no means the greatest game ever, I thought it was great nonetheless.
Honestly, I don't like Halo for these reasons, You can't aim, there are no tatics involved in playing it, and it is in the future, but nothing is new, everything is just reskinned versions of real things.
Banshee: Fighter Jet
All tanks and cars are just that. ect.
I didn't like Halo much before, but Halo 4 just completely ruined anything good from it for me.All the armor seemed to light, I liked to make my Reach Spartan Heavy. All the guns are the same just reskinned between the 3 different races and all the body pieces are sorta the same. You can never play as a Promethean or even an Elite. OH AND THE WORST PART!!!! THEY RUINED THE GOD DAMN *** BEST GOD DAMN THING IN HALO....FORGE, YOU CANT EVEN PLACE BUILDINGS ON MOST MAP AND THERE IS NO FORGE WORLD WHAT THE ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LCD, Weed, Meth, Cocaine, all at the same time.
I do agree for some points. But the whole armor thing doesn't bother me too much, mainly because I haven't noticed. aha
Very good point and I do agree.
#YOLO AM I RIGHT?
I actually think it's not a good game. I was happy when 343I did Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. It was well done very well. So I had decently high exceptions for Halo 4. But like I said it's not a very good game in my opinion.
