The lights are on
So the Xbox 360 forums do get cluddered with "Should I get...?" threads, ask if you should get a Xbox or Xbox 360 game in this thread. I'm sorta reviving this thread from the old forums because I found this thread pretty helpful.
EDIT: I don't think people are getting the point to this thread. Some user asks for advice on a decision between games or asks for suggestions. Then a user will give there opinion about the options or give a suggestion.
Example 1:
User 1 - "I'm stuck between to two games. Resident Evil 5 or Dead Rising. This is going to be strictly single-player because I haven't got XBL yet."
User 2 - "For the single-player only, I say Dead Rising. This will give you hours of fun and you can just screw around in it. You'll never get bored."
Example 2:
User 1: "I'm looking for a RPG that takes place in space. I'll need it to last 'til Christmas. My budget is about $30."
User 2: "I think you should try Mass Effect. It is $15 at Gamestop. You can replay it because you can choose different sides each playthrough. Plus, when the second Mass Effect comes out, you'll be able to link you Mass Effect 1 files with your Mass Effect 2 files to make one very long game."
Do you get it now?
An Xbox 360 game of course. Get Fallout 3 (:

if you haven't played BioShock yet i'd highly recommend that!
a must have is call of duty 4 its a great game to play with friends and the story mode is very fun but short but i still havent got tired of it yet
depends on the genre. Batman AA, ODST, GTA4 especially with the DLC, and obviously Bioshock
you should get assassin's creed its a great game.
Assassin's creed I agree is a good game. The first game I got with my xbox was Call of Duty 2 and Gun which I personally thought were both great games. Also now Gears of War and the Halo series are some very good games to check out.
Burnout Paradise. If you don't like the mechanics, wait a little while and pick up Forza 3. Much better than what GT5 is supposed to be, if that game ever comes out.
As far as shooter snag a used copy of Modern Warfare or World at War or even ODST. The multiplayer disc is fantastic.
I'm not sure how your money situation is but it's pretty hard to expand the game collection these days but you're coming up on a great holiday season for buying games.
Brutal Legends, Dragon Age: Origins, Modern Warfare 2, Forza 3, Uncharted 2, Borderlands, Tekken 6.
Good things come to those who wait.
GTA4, rainbow 6 vegas 2 , madden2010, Call of duty modern warfare, assasins creed, wow so many i cant think anymore this late eyes shutting
I recommend getting Gears of War 2, Halo 3, ODST(Multiplayer disc has the maps as in halo 3 DLC plus three more) , Call of Duty 4, Forza Motorsport 2, GTA4, Rainbow Six Vegas: 2, and Some sports games.
There is also Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Forza Motorsport 3, Tekken 6, Brutal Legends coming out!!!
Which one does everyone think will be better. I personally like MW2 better than ODST. I've heard a lot of bad things on ODST, and that's kind-of swung my vote to MW2. I've followed both games from Call of Duty 2 and the origonal Halo until now. But I can't decide if I'm going to buy MW2 or ODST. Any help?
Personally, I feel MW2. Realistically ODST was supposed to be just an expansion pack, but then Microsoft decided to make more profit by making it a stand alone game. Of course I can not criticize the actual game play of it yet since I feel I will wait till the price drops on it.
Overall, I feel the halo series has been disappointing on the single player... I feel Call of Duty has done a far better job in the First Person Shooter Genre, that it's not about who can waste a full clip into the other first, but more about who can use actual strategy (I'm still discussing single player, cause I know people will most likely criticize that comment saying, "Psht, who uses strategy online, it's whoever has faster reaction and a more steady hand").
I know I was truly challenged, but not frustrated by the Modern Warfare Veteran Mode, whereas I was frustrated cause I could never have enough ammo on Heroic of Halo.
Again, this is speaking from the earlier games, I have yet to play ODST, if they changed up the single player and made the enemies die with a reasonable amount of bullets, I will retract my statement.
All in all, I think COD had more epic moments that in halo, but Halo on multiplayer still stands strong, but if ur goin for story and epic moments, id say COD all the way.
What game should you get? well depeneds on wat type of gamer you are, If you want to explore and have lots of hours to kill, get Fallout 3, if your into shooters get Call of Duty Modern Warfare
