Fallout 3, Mass Effect, and I personally like Silent Hill Homecoming but since no one else has mentioned that idk how everyone else will like it.

I got Left 4 Dead 2 for Christmas, and also some money.  So I can get 2 games, and I have narrowed my choices down to Assassins Creed 2, Borderlands, and Left 4 Dead 2.  Which 2 out of the 3 should I get?  I am leaning a bit towards Borderlands and Assassins Creed 2, but I am not sure.

Hey all, I'm looking to get a game that doesn't involve gunplay, I need a break from shooting the crap out of things. I'm stuck between Batman: Arkham Asylum and Assassin's Creed 2. I haven't played Assassin's Creed, but I'm also not a big Batman fan (I mean I like the character, but I never followed the comics and stuff). Will I be at a disadvantage for not knowing any previous lore, or should I just get the game I like the best?

Which one should I get? I'm also open to suggestions, anything that has no guns, and maybe falls into the action/adventure camp. Thanks!

well assassins creed II has alot more fighting, blood and killing and you can climb around on almost anything batman has really good fighting but alot of the game is more stealthy and requires alot more thinking and is sometimes confusing so you might get stuck in one place for awhile. assassins creed II tells you straight forward what to do and where to go  

Both are AMAZING games! I can't see you being disapointed with either of them. Assassin's Creed II is very entertaining even without the back story, but I would strongly recommend you play through the first before purchasing the second. If you're like me then not understanding the story will get on your nerves, but it shouldn't take away too much from your overall experience. You'll be lost at the beginning of the game, but for the most part Assassin's Creed II follows its own story. As for Batman: Arkham Asylum, not being a fan of the comics shouldn't put you at much of a disadvantage at all. I have never really followed the comics either, and it made me all the more interested in the villans and other characters that were new to me. I really don't you can go wrong either way on this one. I would probably go Batman: Arkham Asylum strictly because of the fact you haven't played the first Assassin's Creed game. Now on the other hand, you could get the first Assassin's Creed game play through it and then jump right into the second, but once again you can't go wrong with these games!

I think you should go Batman.  I disagree about getting stuck.  Usually the game tells you where to go next.  Another thing is you said you're tired of killing things... well, there's no killing at all in this game!  I would say not knowing the lore is not really that big of a deal, either.  You know who Batman and the Joker are... you're pretty much set.
