The lights are on
Fable 4 seemes to be troubling me due to the players is no longer connected to the fable family tree. With Fable being a big franchise is Fable 4 doomed to be bad? If so reply and tell me!
Thanks, Russian Molotov
The first fable was fun and new, the second was arguably better, but the third was just a shot in the eye. If they do a full on fourth fable game, it will need to be NOTHING like fable 3.
Wait, there's going to be a Fable 4!? Link? PLEASE.
I agree with Thelizardman, they need to change the story, not the game play I like the game play but they need a new road for us to go down, saving the country from unknown evil we have done, twice.
I think Fable 4 needs to become a little less streamlined for menus and everything in comparison. It was kind of cool for the pause menu being a room at first, but just became a pain later. It also became way to easy after a short time, I think I "died" once throughout my entire playthrough. The final act when you have all of your assets and the war begins was also very disappointing. I am still looking forward to fable 4 but I'm ready to be disappointed. For reference, I thought 2 was great, apart from the terrible final "boss" fight.
Personally I liked Fable 3, Fable 2 was a disappointment only due to the ending. But if they make a 4th one they need to focus on the story. I would like to see some connection to the other games through some sort of character relation but at the same time the role needs to be extremely different. I do not want to become king or lead a revolution to save the kingdom. What they need is some originality and re-amp the sires. I also think that they should bring back the focus to choice, making you choose between good and evil and it should go further than ever before by not only affecting your appearance but also giving you the option to upgrade moves that can only be achieved by the path you go down and in no way should you be able to remain truly neutral making so you can unlock both path sets. I always thought that was crap when games do that. But that is just a few things that I would like to see.

So, when was Fable 4 announced?
Because last I checked, it wasn't.
I assume with Fable 4 you're talking about the new Kinect title.
I'm not at all interested in this game since I don't plan to ever own a Kinect.
But as for the next numbered Fable game I hope they make some serious changes. Fable 2 was my favorite game in the series. The humor was always great, the description of every little item gave me a laugh.
Fable 3 really dropped the ball for me. Fable 2 very accessible but Fable 3 just held you're hand way to much. It wasn't nearly as funny as Fable 2 and many of the game mechanics felt like a chore. Such as making friends.
Basically if they ever make a Fable 4 I hope Lionhead would look back on Fable 2 and try to emulate what made that game so good. And obviously add cool new features that give the player more freedom instead of restricting it.
If you post it, they will troll.
to me the Fable series has been dead in the water sense Fable 2 came out. the first was really good and well done. after Fable 1 they became to lazy to even right a good story on it. if fable 4 would ever come out it well be worse then Fable 3, unless they slap them self and get back into the game.

The Journey is NOT, I repeat, NOT Fable 4. It is a kinect spin-off.
I"m not worried about it.
Why? Because I no longer have any expectations for it. Whatever they're doing for Kinect... well, I won't play it. When they get around to whatever they're doing after that, it'll be square one for me. I'll treat it as a new series because as far as I'm concerned it was all downhill since Fable 1
Fable III was a very bad joke...
I have played all of the fable franchise and The only down fall i saw in all of the games , was that the story was far to short. They say you can keep playing , but playing around with no quests is not really my ideal of the game. I hope in the new one that they take into account the game story, graphics, collectable items, and length of the game. I loved in the last one that you got really cool avatar achievments . I also liked the road to glory and how you could upgrade everything! But on the down side , i beat the game before i even got a chance to get all of the chests and upgrade everything.
I am very worried to be honest! The game was wonderful in the beginning and slightly better in two and then did drop down in Fable 3. I think the designer would pump up the game WAY too much (if thats even possible) and my expectations would be too high. I believe Fable 3 was a great idea and wonderful design but way too difficult to keep people happy and be a hero and I felt it had a random abrupt end.
Im hoping that the new lead designer dosent screw the Fable Franchise even and make me dislike it... Im in the same boat with you!
