There have been some rumors going around about the Xbox 720 coming out in at least 2013. Are you ready for this, or do you need more time to experience all the 360 has to offer?

I'm absolutely ready for the next generation of console hardware to arrive. For as far as the 360 has come from the launch platform to the current Slim in the ways of reliability, power consumption, production cost etc... it's still the same 6+ year old muscle inside, so to say. One has to but look at the fidelity PC can offer - and I'm not even talking about a $2,000 powerhouse. You can boot up any given title on a 400$ budget PC and see astronomical jumps in draw distances, load times etc. And while the way software actually runs on a console versus a PC is inherently different, it's an apt comparison...

On that note, it's always incredibly interesting to see what components consoles get packed with for their launch. You always get more than what you pay for, as manufactures are more than willing to take some losses on hardware to regain it ten times over on software...

*talking hand gesture* Blahblahblah, generalities I know, but for a general question that's my answer ;P

I can wait until 2013 or so.  I love my Xbox 360 and there is a continued steady stream of great releases and not enough time to get to all of them.

I am not quite ready to shell out the money to buy a 720, but I might be ready in a year or two.

I bought my 360 last summer so not quite since I came in late, but I'm sure I'll be more than ready by the time they release it.

I might wait til they release a later less buggy version though since the original 360 had issues with overheating and etc.

Yes. Yes I am. After chugging along faithfully for many years, my Halo 3 Xbox 360 was hit by a train of myriad problems in its final days. It is now dead.

I am not willing to shell out a few hundred bucks simply to replay the games I own, or the few games I believe to be worth purchasing in the next couple years. I would rather save my money to get the next Xbox and hope it has backwards compatibility.

Until then, I'll be playing f2p games on the laptop.

As much as i love my 360m I cant wait to get a fresh console, with amazing graphics and hopefully some original IP's. Im on the verge of getting a PS3 but might as well hold out for the 720 now.

I wasn't excited untilI it was confirmed by IGN that the next Xbox will have SIX times the processing power of the 360. That is one powerful machine. It's supposed to come out in late October or early November.

I'm honestly okay with another year or two with the current consoles. We've been getting some of the best games this gen recently, which is something you see near the end of a console cycle, and I'm not ready for that to end. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we'll see the next Xbox and PS in 2013 or 2014. We may see them in at least prototype form this year but that's all.

I am fine with my 360 for now because of  the constant stream of great games coming out.

Despite the fact that this generation of consoles has been out for over half a decade, I believe we are actually witnessing the Xbox 360 in its prime. From the standpoint of content we are certainly seeing a plethora of fantastic titles being released one after another, and we are watching the subsequent review scores from GI shoot out a flowing river of 9, 9.5, and 10s across the board.  I hope they give developers some more time to develop these A-list titles before sending out the dev kits to start the development of games for the next gen consoles.

I eagerly wait the next-gen system, but don't think it is time for it.  The games are getting better and seem to be better suited for the power and graphics of the Xbox.  The earlier games weren't as smooth with graphics, but have only gotten better.  So I would be comfortable with seeing a new system fall 2014.

I think there's too much invested in the Xbox 360 for them to come out with another one this soon. I'm sure I'll change my mind when the 720 comes out, but I still think there's a few years left in the 360 generation and many more profitable things they can do before releasing a whole new console. They don't need to compete with the Wii, and they just came out with the Kinect and brand new games for the Kinect that (if the rumors are true about the 720 not being backwards-compatible) you won't get to play on the 720. I can wait, I love my 360.

No I'm not ready.  lol

I'm just getting into the meaty parts of Skyrim... I don't think I'll be ready until late 2013 or early 2014.  

And as long as I can transfer my save game data and achievements and such from the 360 to the new gen model, I'll love it even more!
