I just play games to have fun. I never set out to gain a certain arbitrary amount of achievements or to better my gamerscore, if I stumble on an achievement while playing a game, good, but I won’t look at the list of achievements and try to get the other ones. I agree that people shouldn't be judged solely on their gamerscore.

Anyways that's my two cents.

Well, maybe at first glance, but it's not like I think just because you have a low gamerscore you suck or anything. Heck, for all I know you could be the best player, and just created an alternate account or something to play on. So no I don't judge solely based on the gamerscore.

Well I think it can go either way: you can judge someone both positively or negatively for either a very high or very low Gamerscore depending on perspective. For example, one might look at someone's GS exceeding 100,000 and say, "Wow, this guy must be some kind of prodigy for having such a high number of points." A different person might view that same 100,000 and think, "I wonder how much money this noob had to spend on easy games to boost that many Achievements."

I recently had a similar experience that wasn't necessarily judging but more questioning the possibilities in my own online gaming life. Recently my friends and I have been returning to Halo: Reach in honor of the 10th anniversary of the franchise (but mostly because we haven't played since summer and there's new maps). During a recent SWAT match the other day, I ended up receiving a friend request from a female member of the other team. Upon viewing her profile, I saw that she had a little over 6,000 GS but had an account for over 4 years. Generally, the longer you've had your account is directly proportional to the amount of Achievements you've earned which is why I was taken aback by a low number associated with a long-lived account. However, when I thought about it, she was rather good at Halo. Perhaps she spent quite a bit of time honing her abilities on a select number of games instead of playing thousands halfway to completion and getting a few easy Achievements throughout.

My point is that you can look at anything in life optimistically or pessimistically. You can perceive the abilities, history, strengths and weaknesses of a fellow gamer as either positive or negative, the choice is up to you.

I don't think much of it.Almost all of the best players iv'e seen have had very low gamerscore. Probably because of not doing much campaign and doing more multiplayer.  

Nah, I don't judge others or anything, though I will look at friends' gamerscores and try to get extra entertainment from games by completing achievements.

I dont think anyone can judge by their gamerscore. I know my gamerscore is in the low 7,000 range. I have played tons of games. I am not the best. I have owned my XBL account for nearly 3 years. But the reason why i havent finished hardly any of them is becaause Im a full time college student, DJ free lance, I tutor for the game graphics and digital media department at my college full time, and I do freelance web design and monitor the sites i make for the few local companies. So I have a very active life and not the 5-10 hrs straight daily to play games. I have that amount total a week. I have friends who have a bit over 58,000 but he is also high school student yet a straight a student. but games just come so easy to him and he does complete all the games he plays. Im a major team player and if someone judged me just because of my score then they will miss out on a great team player. I just have  avery busy life, and social life out of xbox. That helps pay for the massive game collection with not enough time to complete them all.

It depends on how long I think the person has been playing xbox 360; if they have been playing for a while then I think they should have a reasonable amount of gamerscore.

There are 3 categories I put people in to make myself feel better about my own gamerscore.

- 1,000 - 5,000 range: doesn't care about achievements (me) or XBOX isn't their main pastime.

- 10,000 - 50,000: serious XBOX player, looks down on people like me who have had XBOX 360 for years and still have a low gamerscore.

- anything around or above 100,00: call Liberty
