The lights are on
Right now I am playing Final Fantasy XII, The Darkness, Metroid Prime, and FEAR.
I also have a blog entry about cheap gaming in general @

I still play FFVI (i.e FFIII on the SNES) because it is undoubtedly my favorite game of all time.
There's a fine line between not listening and not caring... I walk that line everyday.
I play tetris alot still
Ah... The good ol' days I remember fondly playing Sonic Pinball, and Street Fighter II Turbo on my Sega Genesis and playing Super Contra and Super Mario Bros. 3 on my NES.... Good times.
The iDOLM@STER : A game for real men.
The old game invoke emotions of inadequacy and failure. After a long day of dodging and jumping over obstacles I still end up blowing the whistle to warp. While playing an old game everyone needs to be quiet to eliminate distraction.
Death could come more quickly in the old games than in anything today.
Little Mario touches a goomba? Dies.
Big Mario falls down a pit? Dies.
Etc, etc, etc... Makes me realize how pampered we gamers are today.
I never stopped playing Final Fantasy IV. The remake for GBA, that is. Also, I still play Pokemon Silver and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe for Game Boy Color. Those old 8-bit and 16-bit games are amazing...
^^ Here here!
I'd say long live 3-bit! Pong was the best 3-bit game eva!
i miss the simplicity of them, they were something even my mom could play with me.
I like old video games more for the times they represented, rather than the games themselves. That being said, there are some good things about them, such as the artistic 2D backgrounds and the demand for developers to be more creative; now many games are completely unoriginal and rely to heavily on impressive graphics rather than gameplay and storyline.
I play old games more than I do new games at times. Today, I was looking at my 360 and thought to myself, "Do I want to pop in Oblivion and play a bit of that today?" I then looked at my NES right next to it. Next thing I knew, I was playing Kirby's Adventure, The Legend of Zelda, and then Spyro the Dragon and Syphon Filter.
I love Contra.
I played Super Metroid for the first time ever in 2007 (I didn't know about it when I was a kid) and I loved it. No joke, it easily jumped into my top 10 list, if not top 5, when I was finished with it.
