The lights are on
I want to know from all of you. What do you think the best old school RPG was. It has to be from an older console like the NES or the Nintendo 64. Well, I'd have to say mine was Chrono Trigger. Well, what's yours?
Out of the ones I've played, A Link To The Past.
i personally like might and magic for pc. especially might and magic 4 and 5 which can be played as one big game.
Super Mario RPG
check out my blog!
Rainheart, I'll never forget you.
I'd have to say FFVI. Just amazing in virtually every way. =D
Ocarina of Time. All the way. It's the first game I've played, I think its the best old school RPG, And the best game of all time. There are so many other old games that I love also like Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie.

Secret of Mana was the very first RPG I got hooked on. Chrono Trigger was the highlight though with FFVI coming in a close second.
Final Fantasy 6 snes
If we're going for 32 bit, my all time favorite was Legend of Dragoon, while my favorite old school was definitely the original Baldur's Gate. I know its not console, but it's still the best in my eyes.
My favorite and the first rpg that I played was Faxandu for NES that really got me hooked on RPG's
I'm thinking the best old school rpg's, in my opinion, were on the PC in the early to mid 90's. Your original Fallouts, Icewind Dales, Baldur's Gates, Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen, and Planscape Torment; these were the greats in my opinion.
Loved Chrono Trigger it's probably my number three favorite out of the older RPGs I have played the first two were Final Fantasy IV *or FFII lol whatever number system you go by* and Legend of Legaia.
GIOR Sponsor stuff :D
7th Saga or Paladins Quest... Not really. Final Fantasy II (IV), that's some sweet whale to the moon action.
Mine would have to be Chrono Trigger as well, that game never gets old.
I loved Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana but I would have to say my fav on those systems would be Final Fantasy 3 aka 6
Legend of Dragoon was a bad ass game. Definitely one of the greats. I think I may have to run through that again here sometime soon
