The lights are on
I think they are the reason for is every call of duty has this cat and mouse game were you trying to find somebody who did something bad. I would like to see something different don't you ?
COD is everything that is wrong with gaming.
Not everything. Only like, 12 things.
I dont think innovating with new ideas was ever a concern for activision in implementing their annualization policy (after Call of Duty 4 anyway). They stretched out their gravy train far, and they're commiting resources to maintaining the massive marketshare they own. The economy sucks, people want a safe purchase to come to yearly, and as such, Call of Duty remains a strong brand, and it seems that will continue through reiterations of equal or greater quality. Microsoft has banked on it, and Sony's definitely banking on it with the psp 2 CoD.
Yes I say that they probably are since they have like 10 games out now, and that all of them are the same thing, the objective is to always find someone that did something bad, I would much like to see something different from Unisoft now, cause ive already gotten board of the other COD's, still havent played MW3 because i still think that its going to be dumb and boring, does any one agree, or disagree, please comment.
This should have been said after mw2
It would be very nice to see something new, but that would be improbable unless they stop making them and wait a few years for new inspirations to pop up. Sadly, however, Activision will probably run the series even more into the ground such as they did with Guitar Hero and other franchises...
You really think that? Because Ghost Recon has been doing 'future' warfare since 2006... 0_o
Doesn't matter much really, 12-year-olds will still buy the game regardless of the game being a new idea or an old one.
They ran out of ideas after MW2. They don't add anything new to gameplay, update engine, balance multiplayer or write dissent storyline.
well i don't think they are running out of ideas. But they can think of a lot better. I mean Black Ops 2 looks fun. But i just don't see how anyone could just "take the keys". I love the Call of Duty games but i don't think that they are "running out of ideas".
I think that they definitely ran out of ideas which is why we got MW3. BLOPS2 looks like a modern version of BLOPS. There is just no originality in shooters anymore. To that though, it is extremely hard to be original in shooters. Borderlands is probably what I would recommend but it is not an online multiplayer like CoD. It has a different kind of multiplayer.
I think not, they already have gone this far. Let's expect more to come.
Like everyone said, that's what war is all about. And it's "Call of Duty"... you can't really be playing as the leader of the hostile nation.
I think that the campaign really doesn't matter, but it is repetitive.
