The lights are on
I'd like to play this game. Very much so. Unfortunately, I have this irrational fear that I'll probably be able to only run it on low to most likely mid settings on my laptop for a few of hours before the cpu bursts into flames or something. It's a dell inspiron with an nvidia geforce gt 650M gfx card, i7 cpu running at 2.4GHz. I'm debating on whether to get it on steam in hopes that maybe someday I'll get my tower built an be able to play it proper, or should I just suck it up and get it on my 360? Any thoughts?
The rig you're running is more capable than the 360. You'll likely run above 30fps in the High to Very High setting range at a 1080 resolution. Comparatively, both the 360 and PS3's graphical quality is closer to the PC medium to low range, and are locked at a maximum of 30fps, dipping to 24 or less regularly during graphic intensity. Furthermore a PC copy will cost 10$ less to begin with..
Well, crap. Now I regret not pre-ordering it on steam for the free copies of bioshock and xcom along with it lol. Thank you for the reply though, Eyros. :)
360 all the way is the way to go if you have concerns listen to them you have them for a reason.
If you have a giant nice TV, I would say 360. If you have a small TV I would go PC. I bet your machine will run it decently on HIGH.
