Ive been playing all night i accualy paused it and turned off the tv but, I accualy havent died and I busted up 3 of his legs he's on the ground as we speak and I cant hit him on the sides but I can hit him in the face but nothings happening he wont get up but he keeps slobbering and takeing damage while he is down I have punched him over a 1000 times. im about to try to jump off of the box.
you need to punch him with the lion gauntlets (armenian cestus) either that or it's a glitch

You've probably glitched. I actually glitched during that battle. I had all but one of his legs cracked, and I kept hitting it and hitting it and hitting it. I was no longer making that glass breaking sound, and it stayed hot red all the time.
You're going to have to hit "Return to Last Checkpoint", which is the start of the fight, and that should fix it. It did for me.
once he was down i hit him with the blades of exile and it worked great, i did the thing where you press L1 and sqaure. The O above the scorpion didnt take too long and i was playing on the hardest difficulty, must be a glitch. Turn off and try again.
Yeah, you might have revert to last save.

Thanks a lot for that link! Sorry for the confusion about where to post. It was not necessarily that I was asking for help. I was more or less just commenting on the difficulty of the game and how there are certain points one can't always get past easily. But that guide will really help out a lot. Thanks again!
