The lights are on
Ok, so I am going into the 8th grade this fall. The one thing is, afterwards, there's a good 2.5 hours between dismissal and when my parents come to pick me up. My parents are kind of bugging me about having an extra curriculum so that I'm "not wasting my time". And so we unanimously decided "hey, I've taken a C++ class at IDE tech summer camp and I'm interested in videogame design, why not take a class to help me reach that career goal?"
So I did a little research, but could not find any VG design class locally. So why not online? Well, the only online class that came to mind was Full Sail University, which is a college, and I'm an 8th grader.
So do any of you brilliant, experienced people know of an online class that I could take, but, not interfere with actual school?
There is FullSail, but there are other design courses too. What sort of design courses or game design are you interested in? For example, there's game design, iPhone programming, HTML games, Java games, Flash... Is there anything specifically that interests you? There are some great free and paid online course and resources if you know what you're looking for.
Fullsail is really friggin expensive so if you go there, just make sure that you don't waste that investment. D:
