The lights are on
Before posting anything give me an explanation why. Don't give me a fanboy crap reason either.
I don't want to regret my suggestion like I did when I bought my Wii.
So far when I dig through the Internet everyone says PS3 is a greater buy Wifi/Usb/Blu-Ray/ Etc.
Edit: Hello! Thanks guys for answering my question! ;D I do not regret my decision for PS3 as i fell in love with their exclusives and currently waiting for them such as KZ3.
Okay so gamers, I need your help.
My brother really wants a console for christmas, but he wants the 360.
Here is my deal.
Xbox 360's tend to break alot or break your games. The E74 problem, Red Rings of Death or scratching your disks. I surveyed my a whole bunch of people in my school yesterday and they all said that they have never had any problems with their ps3 as opposed to most people who said their 360 broke 3 to 5 teams.
As opposed to games whenever my bro goes over our friends house, we play online and he pretty much kicks everyones ass rare occassions happen when he's actually trying. When my brother plays uncharted 2 he gets angry and starts talking smack which is a sign that he's getting his butt whooped, meaning he's enjoying it. ;D Point being, he gets more of a challenge and has more fun on PS3.
The only games the 360 has that he likes that are exclusive is Halo and everything else I can just get on my PC. PS3 has a whole bunch of games he likes to play but he continues to ask for a 360.
He doesn't take of his stuff and since the 360 disks are easy to scratch..... PS3 has 10 layers of plastic and my disks for it have never recieved a scratch.
My brother likes playing online, but I don't feel like paying 50 dollars to get what he can get on the PS3.
Then there is the whole battery problem.
My brothers wants it but it has so many costs that I don't feel like paying and I can get the same thing and more on PS3.
I want my brother to have a good christmas this year because he didn't get squat he wanted last time. So help. >_<
Developed a new game called Feval.
well dude to help you ill tell you more about the two consoles.
A ps3 is more of a single player deal. even though it has great games they are not as good online. so like you say playing uncharted 2 may sound awesome for him but thats just a game to sit an beat yourself. now play station has great images and the system id quiet easy to handle. it has build-in wifi which helps alot and the blu-ray player its an awesome advantage, the games are longer due to the capacity of the disks. in my opinion i dont like big controlers which is another advantage of the play station. now online gaming is not bad but is not the greatest, yes its a free suscription but is not as big as the xbox live, now talink about the 360 is a good console, its a good online gaming console. the only way to not get the disk all ruin is by landing the console horizontal. my friends and i have prove that when you stand the console and the console gets move just a little it causes the eye to burn the cd which gives the cd the so call "burn ring" which ruin the whole cd, now for the ring of the death in the system it happens and there is nothing i know that helps prevent it other then playing for few hours turning it off for an hour and turning back on and keep playing but if it happens microsoft will work on it so idk its your choice man
if an online system is what your looking i will totally go for the xbox 360 but if what you want is a good long one home system go for the play station 3
Get him a 360, and tell him to good care of it, because you are not going to pay for the repairs, unless you have warranty.
Its rather simple, just get him a PS3. Like you said its not high maintenance like the 360 and it offers wifi, bigger storage space, free online play, internet browser, and a blu-ray player. Also it offers 1080p resolution if you use a HDMI cable. The only notable games that you will miss out on with the 360 is dead rising, gears of war 1&2, and left 4 dead 1&2. However you will gain Demon's souls, Uncharted 1&2, and Killzone 2.
So I say just go for the PS3, they will be getting netflix at some point in the future.
If he is asking for a 360 and likes Halo I would get him the 360 because the bottom line is its for him and its more what he wants that matters
well, if he wants an Xbox 360, then you should ask him if he is willing to pay for the expenses of repairs and new games and online features. also think about if he REALLY likes playing online. thats another point. you have to be willing to pay for the online feature to enjoy a 360. if he doesnt then just get him a PS3.
muh blog posts r cool
get him the 360. i have had mine for over a year and i works like brand new. and there are really fun multiplayer games such as left 4 dead and gh5
Get him a PS3 it has great exclusives like:
Ratchet & Clank crack in time
Resistance 2 which you could play at the same time with him in co-op and vs
and many more
Well, from the sound of it you've already made up your mind, so...
For you, it sounds like you should go PS3 all the way. It may cost a wee bit more in the short term, but if you're thinking long term, then it'll keep your wallet fatter than the 360 will :-)
Of course, that's what I said last time, isn't it?
Playstation 3 it does everything!!!! Especially now since the price lowered and many great gamers are coming out for it, but no matter what console you get him he should be fine with it.
you should get a 360 for him cause for one thing he wants a 360 second there are lots of good games on it third ive had mine for almost a year and it hasnt broken down yet fourth if he really likes multi player get him 360 because even though you have to pay for xbl its still better than ps3
So this is actually a 'Convince me to get my bro a 360 over a PS3 thread'.
Edit: So this was actually a 'Change my mind about getting the exact opposite console than my bro wants because I think it would be a mistake thread'. Better?
Its the exact opposite, his little brother wants a 360. but he wants him to get ps3.
Anyways, Dude get him a 360, don't disappoint him with a ps3. because he wants a 360, so stick with what he wants. unless you can talk him into it. but personally the Xbox 360 ( IN MY OPINION ) would be a great first next generation console. but do whatever he wants.
Okay so heres what it is. I tested out the 360 tried out games l4d and Halo 3:ODST with online. My brothers past christmas was suckish so I'll get him what he wants.
Since I already own a PS3, He can just play mine we can share or something.
So thanks for everything guys.
