The lights are on
I hope it is more like Morrowind, and less like Oblivion.
Oblivion was fun and all..tiny too. People thought Oblivion was big? Check out Morrowind's map, Oblivion's whole kingdom thing is like one corner of Morrowind's. Also in Morrowind, the player could KILL anybody he wishes, not just simply knock out important characters.
Also, I want Bethesda to pull some crazy *** and make it different from Morrowind as well.
No more PS3 :(
We'll all probably be old men by the time it comes out. And I bet you that Bethesda is going to wait until the new generation of consoles come out and then release the game on those. (Excluding whatever Nintendo comes up with of course).
Oblivion i believe was a triumph for the Xbox 360. from the beautiful graphics to the amazing soundtrack, Oblivion kept you immeresed in a fantastic world of adventure. Now i don't want to say i am jumping on the bandwagon, but there are somethings i would add to the new elder Scrolls. i would like to see A multiplayer arena mode or something of that sort, because it felt way to lonely playing it alone. Also i would like to a more diverse cave and dungeon sequence. Morst of them save for the ones in shivering Isles were painfully alike, ansd i felt that exploring there depths was more of a chore than a priveledge. Also i want the AI, if possible to be more fluent and life-like, for the AI in oblivion, Although it was amazing, felt clunky and akward sometimes, especially in battles. And what about being compatible with Project Natal? ;)
What i do not want to see in the New Elder scrolls is any type of gun or modern day weapon. i just don't think they would fit in the series.
I'm expecting it to come out in 2012-2013.
If you post it, they will troll.
like I thought. this thread is just a bunch of morrowind lovers come to complain about oblivion. well guess what? oblivon was BETTER!!! get over it, iv played both and morrowind pales in comparison
I am one of the people who would like it to go back to Morrowind. I was kind of disappointed when I first opened up an Oblivion map. It was TINY. It didn't take any time to run from one place to another.
I liked Oblivion but I loved Morrowind. It felt kind of like they were working toward it looking pretty but not being quite as deep. I mean other then that there really aren't any changes I want.
Co-Op would be cool but I wouldn't want them to make many *if any at all* quests dependent on having another person to play with.
GIOR Sponsor stuff :D
1. Better horseback manuveuring.
2. Better graphics.
3. Don't load it up with sex.
Moved to General Gaming
Oblivion was much better in terms of graphics and mechanics, but the story and features in Morrowind were so much better. The map seemed much bigger in Morrowind, and every dungeon seemed like an adventure. Many dungeons in Oblivion seemed random and pointless. I'd like to see them revert back to the enchanting and spellmaking of the older games, it was very rewarding to make a super character. Also, the leveled items got annoying in Oblivion. If I want to brave a cave full of trolls as a level 3, I should be able to. It was annoying watching the landscape fill up with high level enemies only when you got to a high level. I really enjoyed working hard to get a great item as a low level, but in Oblivion you can only find good items as you level. And then, those good items are abundant and lose their value.
More Immersion for sure, considering how rich the lore is. Id also like a voice for my character because to be honest all classes felt the same whether I was an Imperial Battlemage or a argonian thief. A more indepth combat system, more personalization, and cool watercooler moments like the ending of Oblivion!
I only hope they make a new leveling system. That was the only thing about Elder Scrolls IV that I did not like.
elder scrolls style mmo where power lies in alliances. each individual acts as a single soldier. let the players decide who rules the world
I am just hoping that it comes out soon! I love playing Elder Scrolls. Oblivion is my favorite one of the series so far. But I only played Morrowind a few times. I never really got around to developing much of a fondness for that earlier game with the newer, visually stunning game that is Oblivion.
I wouldn't care if they made it longer or not, just don't make it shorter. Morrowind was amazing (still is). The massive size of the game tripped me out. But even though Oblivion wasn't as big, just remember that is was on a next generation console with amazing graphics, more features, smarter AI, better combat (remember how hard it was to get a hit an enemy when first starting out in Morrowind?) , and still huge in size. An online mode would be great too.
