You make a great point keo, the PSN is the most safe network I have ever seen, and if they open the floodgates to link to other networks it could open a can of worms for viruses, spyware, and spamware.

Networking is the biggest problem, or this would be already happening. Its another way of competing. Sony and Microsoft are like twin brothers. They beat each other up, but in the end they wll ban together for a good cause, especially if they think they can earn bragging rights out of it. The PSN is a tight network with ought any viruses or problems, they cant really just open it up to be hacked.

I have heard a recent rumor, just a rumor at the moment, that there will be a cross platform with PC and PS3 for Final Fantasy XIV, not sure what can be taken of this rumor of it holds to be true it would be sweet

Actually if I'm not mistaken DC Universe Online wil have cross platform play between the Ps3 and PC. I think so don't take my word on it. I understand PC is microsoft too but maybe there is just a logical reason why PS3 and 360 haven't done it yet. Like maybe they are not able to.

I'd like to see this myself, but it will never happen. Sony and Microsoft actually play together, yeah right, keep dreaming. The only cross platforming I can see would be PC and 360, or PC and PS3. This I can see happening, and I hope it does happen soon.

I would like to see a game like Modern Warfare have cross-platform fighting. I think it would be awesome. Like PS3 vs. 360. Then there could be leaderboards for which console is doing better at what. What do you think? What games would you like to see have this?
