The lights are on
Okay, thing is, when I started calling the Xboxone the 'Xbone', it was because I was all nerd up in arms about drm. But now, since it's basically the same deal as ps4 now, I feel that's water under the bridge.
However, I still like calling it the xbone! It's easier to write, it's catchier, it better differentiates the console to the real xbox1, and, heck, it's puts a smile on my face honestly.
My question, can we call it the Xbone, and not be fanboys? Or, is it unquestionably derisive?
They put it on themselves after all. I don't really think they did it because they didnt want to make the gamers unhappy. I know if Sony did it too, Mircosoft would never have backed down the rdm. It's just because they didnt want their wallet to go broke cause no one would buy that crappy console. This is from someone who use to like Xbox the most too!
I understand where all the anger is coming from, but calling it the X-Bone doesn't have that negative sound to me. It's much easier calling it the X-One, but then I guess you're not insulting the company behind the system. It's not annoying to hear people call it the X-Bone, but I don't see how that is even considered an insult. A bone is hard and sturdy, so are they saying it's a stable console?
I know Xbox One is just too confusing. I have an xbox 1, and it's not that. So, it probably necessitates some kind of nickname. So unfortuneatly, Xbone may have staying power.
