Even though people say it's just ripping of Zelda and GoW who cares? This game takes the zelda items and enhancements and temple exploration and adds a deeper combat system. Im wasnt too huge on the kind of comic book feel of the design and art direction, but after awhile it just gets awesome. This game rules, get it if you havent yet

The Official Darksiders thread

2 sick days plus 2 days off and I am enjoying this game like I have not enjoyed a game in many years.

Darksiders is amazing, I just got the second heart and can't wait to keep going. I loved meeting the first of the old ones and the variety of gameplay is very nice. I even hooked up my surround sound to play this one.

The Official Darksiders thread

I already beat, but i played it almost nonstop for a week. I gotta say, i loved it for what it was. It wont change your life, but the whole game was consistently fun to play, never got too frustrating. Characters were really well designed, but the enviroments were a bit bland. Still, i definitely think it should be played if you get the chance

Re: The Official Darksiders thread

This didn't release for pc :(

Re: The Official Darksiders thread

The Official Darksiders thread

Thanks man, ugh I am getting bored looking for the last artifact and some of the legendary chests but you got to do what you got to do. Some puzzles had me stumped for like 45 mins or so and then I'd see something and be like oh ok I'm an idiot and/or blind and that's how you do it. One that really stumped me was in the hollows after you first face the boss quickly and you're in the room that is half flooded and you have that one spiked bomb sitting in the middle. I couldn't see the wall you climb up for the longest time.... Anyways War is such a bad ass, his character is growing on me and is becoming one of my favorite "heroes".

The Official Darksiders thread

@Hornet201

Anyways, without spoiling the ending, do you know if I am able to go searching for my last artifact after I beat the final boss or should I keep looking until I do find all of the chests and artifacts?

The Official Darksiders thread

@RawStylus909

thanks in advance...

BTW I love this game, I don't care how much ppl say it's a mockery of this game and that game... shut up, who cares, kill yourself!

The Official Darksiders thread

I've finished it.

The Official Darksiders thread

Hornet201, that's awesome! how does it look.

Did you pre-order Darksiders from BestBuy?

I'm glad I just rented this. It's decent. But not something I could ever see playing through again. And like has been mentioned, the screen-tearing in this game is horrific.

Did you pre-order Darksiders from BestBuy?

I got it on launch day.

Its a really good game. GIs review was spot on.

Essentially its Ocarina of Time with a more God of war style of fighting, with some cool shooter sequences to break up the swordplay.

There are some nagging problems. Huge otherwise satisfying boss fights are ruined by the games idiotic quasi QTE system. The first time I saw thr B button pop up over a foes head, I sighed. "great another stupid action game that uses QTE sequences..." NOPE, actually all the QTE are one button, COOL, except for the fact that the finishing moves are the same repetitive *** thing for each enemy.

And finishing off a boss , also uses the one button QTE stupidity. So, after fighting a huge demon for 15 mins, you get to watch the game finish him off for you in a cutscene. Wow....

and someone already mentioned the irritating screen tearing.

and whats up with no option to change the controls during the flying sequence.

Also , theres no real reason to invest time in upgrading the different weapons, just use the *** sword.

So, if you want a gory Zelda with frantic combat. This is for you.

Did you pre-order Darksiders from BestBuy?

My mother had bad experiences at best buy too. My advice is to avoid them like the plauge. Gamestop is a better place in my opinion.

Did you pre-order Darksiders from BestBuy?

I didnt even know they were running a promo like that at best buy. game stop is closer (they're like 7'11 out here).

Did you pre-order Darksiders from BestBuy?

Transactions with Best Buy that have had anything to do with preparing something ahead of time have typically left a bad taste in my mouth. I pre-ordered it on the 21st of december..that same day i also signed up for the reward zone gamersclub, because you have to be a member to recieve the 7" War figurine. Well, today i called bestbuys corporate office because i wanted to find out if i was definitely getting one(bestbuy associates are good for nothings when it comes to answering questions that they can't ask someone else to answer for them) I'M NOT!!!!! 2 reasons.....1) Because apparently, they are out of them(it took 3 calls to the corporate office for them to figure that out...and 2) because my copy didn't come with a form inside of it that i was supposed to fill out and mail back to them in order to have my figurine mailed to me. About the form....i'm just now finding that out today after i've talked to bestbuy management on more than one occasion. What doesn't make sense to me, is i bought it on launch day, and my copy came with the Darksiders DO NOT DISCARD code in it(which states on the card that the initial run of darksiders had the code in them) If thats the case, since my copy was one of the first run of copies, then why wasn't the form inside? I don't even know whether or not to believe that a form was even in it, since when i pre-ordered the game, the game case i had to take to register says nothing about a form(i actually still have the case...i kept it....hey, at least i got something from bestbuy) Anyway, i just want to know from anyone who pre-ordered it, whether or not a form was actually in it. Thanks......

Darksiders!

I only got to play about an hour of this but I really enjoyed what I played. I'm at an area where i come out of a tunnel, and directly across the way, on the other side of the bottomless pit, is the tunnel i have to get to. Well, my problem is i can't figure out how. On the ceiling, theres a pipe running on the all way across the room which i have to cross, and then jump from it, onto some demonic growth. Above said pipe, are 3 demon claw(or whatever they're called...the ones that grab you as soon as you get under them). My problem is i can't figure out how to keep them inside their sack thingee long enough to get past them.
