The lights are on
Today, I was searching around for the best online place to pre-order and seeing as Amazon is out of launch PS4's, I decided to pre-order PS4/Watch Dogs from Gamestop.com. I'm excited and I want to know if you have pre-ordered yet, or if you plan to. Please stay away from arguing over Xbox One and PS4, I just want to know about pre-order. Thanks!
Yup, got my PS4, an extra controller, and a camera pre-ordered and ready for pick up as soon as it launches. I'm glad i got there when i did because our gamestop is completely out of day ones now.

I've been out of town and I called my gamestop, and they said they would probably be out of PS4 pre-orders by the time I got back, so I went ahead and pre-ordered online. When I get back, I will check the local gamestop to see if there are any available PS4 pre-orders. If there are, I will cancel the online order because it's gonna cost $50 for tax and shipping online.
Yeah, i was there day after the E3 announcements at 11am and still almost missed out. I was pretty shocked.
I live in a small town and I thought they wouldn't sell out by the time I got back. Wow, I was wrong.
I pre-ordered PS4 and Infamous Second Son. I want to preorder Battlefield 4 but I thought 3 was very mediocre so I am going to wait until it is released to see if it is any good, but may get that also.
I never get any new consoles immediately, so no I have not and will not be pre-ordering one. I'll be truthful though, during Sony's presser I did want to pre-order the PS4.
Already pre-ordered mine from sony
I pre-ordered a PS4 from Best Buy the day after the Sony press conference at E3. It's the first time I've ever pre-ordered a system. I'm really excited about it! I'll probably pick up Madden or something that day too, but my Gamestop was only bundling it with sports titles and I didn't want NBA Live 14 so I just got the system.
I'd never preorder a console. Last cycle, everyone who preordered in my city had to wait two extra months to get theirs. I got my 360 first day, though it took 12 hours of sitting in cold rain to get it. It was a very fun night, but I'm not that excited this time and I'll just wait.
I remember with the Wii's selling out around here on launch day, my grandparents really wanted one so my mom drove two hours into the boonies, but the GameStop there said people had been driving in from all over the state, thinking they would have started the day with more than 4 Wii's!
The wii thing was crazy. It was like the year tickle me elmo came out. Everyone no matter if they had kids or not bought that thing .
I preordered my PS4 early from amazon before they ran out of launch copies. Mostly because I don't care if it comes a few days late and I'm sure as hell not standing in line or running all over town to find one
Probably going to pre-order it straight from Sony. I'm waiting to see what sort of bundles or extras certain vendors add and so far Sony's point system is all i've found.
It will be my first pre-order; what sort of delays are we talking here? Is sitting outside a store the only way to get one on day one? Most games I preorder ship a day or two before release so you don't wait.
I can only give you an anecdote, but my cousin preordered both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 last time around. I sat outside a Target and got my 360 first day. He didn't get his preordered 360 until early January and he had to wait for his PS3 as well.
I know the 360 was through GameStop/EBGames. I guess they figured they could get twice the sales if they sold the systems they actually had in stock, and give the systems that trickle in later to the preorder guys.
Hopefully it will be different this time and they will fulfill their preorders. I'm planning to wait until next April anyway.
Depending on your age, camping outside a store can be lots of fun. There's a bunch of people there with the same interests. Just make sure to make friends with your neighbors. My wife did a Taco Bell run for everyone and no one ever tried to take our place in line.
I know if you get it from Amazon, the launch copy not the other, that they do pre-ship them so you'll get them the day of. Though gamestop is the one with most, if not all of the bundles so far. Infamous, killzone, knack, drive club, and one that has all the next gen sports games on it too
