The lights are on
I'm a fan of the Choose Your Own Adventure books (still have about a dozen from when I was a kid), I love writing and I love videogames. With that said, I'm beginning to write a story that I would like to turn into a text-based game in the future. I haven't played Zork although I've heard about if a few times.
Are you into videogames that focus mostly on story?
Have you played text-based games in the past? if so, which ones and what did you like about them?
If someone released a sci-fi text-based game today, would you consider downloading it and playing it?
I'd write a story just for the fun of it anyways, but it would be cool to know there's still a bunch of people out there that are interested in things like these.
Not much, however I do love story in Videogames :)
I already do. I play Hollow daily. It's a multi-user MUD, though much different from others as it focuses on Role-Play primarily.
Statting is in the game but you don't have to do it. It's also web based. No need to download anything.
You can check it out at hollowgame.com if you're interested. I've been playing since '01.

I used to RP on forum based RPGs years ago and that was fun. Thanks for the suggestion man, I'll check it out.
