The lights are on
A few months ago I bought Dark Void and was thinking "This looks cool." It was 65 bucks out of my pocket. At a friends house I played it, he mocked me for buying the game, and it was buyers remorse. A week later I went back to Gamestop and saw Oblivion and Mass Effect were $15 each! I bought them both and played them and wondered "Why would you buy a pathetic game for full price instead of two old-but-legendary games for half the prices? You can still buy Fallout 3 and an Ezio Anamus thing and equal that out!" I don't know about you, but I think some new games should be less and some old games should be more (besides COD4. I mean its been out for 3 years, and Fallout 3 has been out for 2, and MW DOUBLES the price of that game!).

I remember seeing someone post this article, and it makes a very good point.

if you have cheap parents like me you hardly ever get games over 50 bucks, but if you really want a game you should get it regardless of the price. thanks to gamestop you can find almost any new games for almost half the price, but look at it this way at least you didn't buy a brand new console a week before they dropped the price on it (my brother did with his 360, i laughed a little on the inside and felt sympahty for him at the same time).
I always noticed Halo was full price until Halo 2 came out and Halo 2 was full price until halo 3 came out and now halo 3 may still be quite expensive i don't know... they have ODST and such now so maybe not, but thats beat. I respect games dropping their prices after they are out of the spotlight, makes them more accesible and is a smart business move. However I'm almost completely rent-only at the moment in any case. If i particularly blown away ill go out and buy it but for now GameFly is perfect for me. Try it!
games are just way to expensive now a days
I would never agree that an older game should cost more but yes some new games do not warrant a $59.99 price tag from a consumer standpoint. Luckily Some companys (Capcom) agree.
I will move your controller using only the power of my mind.
i think with games being at such a high price now a days, it would be nice to have a "No Suck Guarantee" because i dont want to pay $60+ for a game that is "meh" or "why did i buy this?" *example: Brutal Legend*

It's very sad the prices now a days for new games. I still somewhat remember when games when they first came out were no more than $30. Now, you could pretty much buy a cheap touchscreen mp4 player that can surf the web and it be cheaper than games like Final Fantasy XIII or Mass Effect 2. Makes not a lick of sense to me. Sure the gaming platforms are more advanced and all, but so was the PS1 and N64 when it came out.
Who's the bigger fool? The idiot, the idiot that follows that idiot or the idiot that follows that idiot's idiot?
Keep in mind the used prices at gamestop are based of off supply and demand
i totally agree some newer games are worth the money but alot of them arent. while you can also buy older better games for cheaper
I never ask my parents to buy me games. THe only 360 games my parents have bought me is Oblivion. I've paid for all my other ones.
No game is worth 60 bucks anymore thats why I rent
SOme games are worth 60 bucks. And when you get tired of it, sell it or trade it. Think logically. You don't need to keep a game forever you know.
