The lights are on
Hey guys, we've got a great discussion going on over at Rock, Paper, Shotgun, but since they're strictly a pc-oriented site, I figured I would start a similar discussion here to cover all systems. Though I'm asking questions central to my specific project, please feel free to discuss any aspect of the Kickstarter gaming scene, or to plug your own projects.
Here's what we're discussing over at RPS:
"I wanted to know what you all would consider the most important aspects of a Kickstarter project before backing. Substance over incentives? Awesome art and/or video over an awesome concept? Digital goodies over physical swag? (My studio is jumping on the Kickstarter bandwagon, so we’re trying to tailor our campaign to the desires of our audience.)"
That, is a lot of tags.
But to respond to your question: most people I know prefer Substance with the promise of intriguing DLC, over T-shirts and concept art.
Ha, yeah. I figured this was such a broad topic that I just selected all of the video-game related tags from their tag list...
EDIT: That did look a little ridiculous. I went ahead and just put it under a Kickstarter tag.
So when you say "substance", you're referring to the actual game concept?
