  • Need Suggestions for Good Single player and split-screen games.  I'm tired of the same ol' same ol' Online shooters and I'm in the market for Some sort of  Action adventure games or Games that are just plain fun to play and do not require be to go Online to get the most out of my Playtime. and some Split-screen Stuff to play in Between. Platforms I'm Looking for are  All three Playstations, The Whole Gameboy line and The PC "but nothing too new, All i have is a few basic Dual core Windows 7 Laptops with Office Quality Visual cards built in. Nothing special". Games I have Enjoyed : Grand theft auto Sanandreas, Vice city, III and The Stories Prequels "Didn't like four", Legend of Zelda Series, The Pokemon RPGs , Timeplitters Trilogy,  Pretty much Every Metroid Besides Other M, The Open world Spider-man games before Spider-man 3 ruined everything, Shadowrun, The Bethesda RPGs, The Golden sun games, Earthbound , Liked Yakuza mostly for the level of gameworld interactivity and the fact it lets me explore another Country with exotic culture instead of grey american cities. Most Zombie Games That do Not Try to be a Shameless copy of Gears of war, Deus Ex, The Jedi Knight series,  X-wing and Rouge Squadron series, Minecraft etc. Games i have not enjoyed or have no more interest in: Most Modern Online Shooters "seems like they are missing the fun factor of older shooters like timesplitters and quake...", Gears of war Clones, Most Anime Influence Heavy RPGs Such  As Final fantasy "I find it hard to enjoy some of the JRPGs, Mostly because i can't get into the whole ham-fisted anime character development and JRPG plotlines. I'm Interested in the Darker, More Well Written JRPG stuff like persona though" Level Grinding or Subscription fee based MMOs, God of War or Devil May Cry style Slashers "Just can't seem to finish them".  I'm likely Going to be ripped apart piece by piece For the whole Final Fantasy part with Long winded speeches on why i should love it. I tried hard to get into them but i Just Can't. Shoot suggestion my way, please. Thank you. Also please don't kill me for not enjoying Final Fantasy.

  • Do Not Require You to Go Online to get the most out of Your Game* i mean. After bad Experiences With Live and Steam Playing games with Strangers has lost it's Appeal to me. That and the fact it's all pretty much "been there, done that" Lately...

  • Dark Souls has online elements, but you can definitely play it fine offline. It's a brutally difficult RPG with tons of replay value.

You listed Bethesda RPGS, so I'm sure you know about Skyrim, Oblivion, and Fallout 3.

The Uncharted series. The second game has online modes, but the story mode is the main meat to the game. Uncharted  3's multiplayer modes can be played offline in split-screen.

Infamous 1 and 2 are great action, adventure games.

Portal 1 and two are fun, puzzle games. The second (I'm pretty sure) has split screen co-op.

The Assassin's Creed series is awesome.

Resident Evil 5 is an extremely fun co-op game (also split screen).

Batman: Arkham Asylum, and Arkham City. Are two very amazing games.

Bioshock 1 and 2. (Although I recommend 1 much more).

Red Dead Redemption. It has a decent multiplayer focus, but like Uncharted, the meat of the game is in single player. It's also probably my favorite game.

And well, I'm running out of ideas lol. Hopefully one of those catches your interest. And I'm the same way with Final Fantasy.

  • Thanks. Although I already played the heck or had my fill of all those already. Except Demon Souls and Dead Souls. I need to rent and Try One of them soon. Can anyone suggest some PS2 or Gameboy games? I already have a list of games i want to try but if Someone could point out some Hidden gems? Thanks.
