The lights are on
There is a lot of games with action, horror, suspense, puzzles, adventures, etc. But few games have drama in it. I have played games that the story feels empty but the gameplay is so awesome, so I gave it a chance. But there is games that involves you deeply in the story, you feel something for the characters in it, you wish you could hug them or slap them, protect them or hurt them, laugh with them or tell them to shut up, you just want to interact with them one way or another I have played games like that. Metal Gear Solid series have been one of those games, you just feel that the hero is your friend, and you see how much they go trough and you did also (pressing buttons). Grand Theft Auto, The Darkness, Uncharted and even Little Big Planet are games that makes most of the gamers fell in love. Even with same sex character, but not in a gay way (at least I'm not in a gay way) lol And when is the other sex type, the love for that character grows deeper. And when something bad happens with that character, or something so good, the sadness or joy he or she feels, you feel it also. When they take a beating, or achieved something they have fought so much for, or lost a loved one by the hands of another person or cause he or she did a big mistake and that loved one paid the price, or even killed his or her love one believing something, and then find out that she did it for good, you feel the sorrow and or joy of things, and you can't hold your tears of your eyes. Those games I have mentioned touched my heart, and I cried manly tears of joy and sorrow for them.
One of my memorable moments was the part in Metal Gear Solid 4, when Old Solid Snake was about to kill himself in that graveyard. I remember that music, his words, and when he look at the handgun, tears wanted to go out. And when he finally was on his knees, I couldn't hold the tears. I even said ''Good bye Snake, may God be with you, you are a hero you saved the world from the claws of those evil patriots, bye I will miss you, and you will remain in my heart''. It sounds funny, cause I was talking with a fiction character, but after you witness all he did, when you saw that he went trough hell to stop his brother, he went through a giant microwave, destroyed metal gears, and fist fought to almost death, you feel that character is alive. That was the magic of that game, and makes you feel connected to the character.
I just told you one of some games that made me cry and feel for the character, now you tell me, what game has touched your heart? What game has really made you cry? Leave your response in the the comments...
The ending of Final Fantasy X got me pretty emotional, not emotional enough to cry, but still lol.
halo reach
I got pretty damn close to it when I had to kill Solaire in Dark Souls. I know, it's really weird... I've played plenty of emotional games and have seen a lot of emotional shows or movies but none ever got me as close as that one moment in Dark Souls.
Metal Gear Solid made me tear up a little. i think it was mostly when in number 4 Big Boss was dying at the tomb stone and he said to snake. ''this is good... isn't it''... i had a tear in my eye.. casue not only was the story engaging.. it was also one of the moments where you realise that his is the end of Snakes story.. still makes me a little sad.
Whatever peels your orange
Gears of war 3 made me cry. :(
Portal 2 alomst did.
One died in India. Three was tracked down in Brazil. I am the only one left. I am The Second Musketeer
I cried my eyes out with Metal Gear Solid 4. I thought the story came to such a satisfying end for Snake. All the emotion and time I have spent with those games...it's why MGS4 is one of my favorite games.
I cry every time a kid insults me in call of duty....

The death of a certain flower girl in Final Fantasy VII...
I don't cry, but If I did, Red Dead Redemption would have made me cry. Also Mass Effect 3.
I've never actually cried in a game, but MGS 4, Gears of War 3, Red Dead Redemption, and Mass Effect 3 got me pretty damn close.
The MGS series gets me emotional at times, but Snake Eater was seriously the first game that broke me
I will go with the flow that Metal Gear Series was the most emotional that I've ever played . Even do they are good they have never been close to bring me down to tears and it is because they really lack human emotions. Example, Toy Story 3, it was such a sad moment to see them being leaved behind, because you developed an attachment to the characters and that is almost impossible because you see your character constantly being killed. This provokes a sentiment that this character is an empty carcass, this especially true with characters that you build up and are simply an avatar.
Red Dead Redemption #**SPOILER ALERT **# (warning) I feel you guys Red Dead ending was jacked. But, I guess it would have just been called Redemption if John lived. Also Battlefield 3 when your fighting the Russian army and your boys get gunned down by fast movers : o (never cried, but still...) and of course Modern Warfare 3 when the dad is video taping his fam and lil' girl is playing with the birds right at ground zero of a chem attack!!! Dood, FU*@#ED UP mane
