I think the ps3 is a whole lot better then the x-box 360.

1. That was a little melodramatic.
2. Can't you make a poll?
3. It's Xbox not X-Box.
4. Xbox 360 is obviously the better console and only fanboys would disagree. It has all the exclusives besides like Uncharted and Resistance. Otherwise, any other good game that PS3 has, Xbox 360 has and then some. On top of that Xbox 360 always gets games and DLC first; if they weren't released on both consoles at the same time.
Xbox LIVE is also the much better choice for online gaming. The PSN is only free cause it just can't match up to XBL. The PS3 was also ridiculosly overpriced at first before they just now took the price tag down probably hoping that they can sell more of their consoles this holiday considering that they are still probably last in sales numbers as well.
The reason it was so overpriced in the first place was because of Blu-Ray which is said to give PS3 much better graphics when really, the consoles graphics compared side by side are almost exactly the same with PS3 being just a fraction better sometimes. But, the 360 in some instances have even had a little better graphics than the PS3 in some games. A recent example of that would be Dragon Age: Origins.

While I believe that the PS3 is vastly superior to the Xbox360 in terms of technology and features, it is Microsoft that has the upper hand in marketing strategy. They released their console first, giving it more time on the market than Sony's PS3. Microsoft pays for exclusive games, DLC, and early releases which gravitates more people to purchase an Xbox in order to play those games/DLC. But the smartest, and most frustrating, thing Microsoft did was to break down the price of their console and paraphernalia to make it appear cheaper than the Playstation 3.
I don't remember if it was GameInformer or Playstation The Official Magazine that did the breakdown of the prices for each consoles, but it showed that the PS3 was a better value for what you get, since you get a blu-ray player, free online services, and other things.
And as far as the Blu-ray drive goes, having 4-5 times the amount of disc space means uncompressed textures and cut-scenes, and no need for multiple discs, as it is with the Xbox360's DVD drive. Thus games have the capability to look better on the Playstation 3, although not all developers take advantage of that.
To reply to the comment about the sales numbers, in September, that only system that beat PS3 in sales was the DS, as shown here. I think we are beginning to see the shift in console superiority that most people have expected, being that the Playstation 3 with be the number 1 desired console in the current generation of gaming.
Not to say that the Xbox360 is a bad console, as many titles are equal, if not superior, to PS3 titles, mostly due to greater support by publishers and developers. But It is my opinion that the Playstation 3 is a better console, due to its value, features, and longer lifespan.
well an Xbox 360 is great but I wish I could get a PS3 so I could play Heavenly Sword and Final Fantasy Versus when it comes out :( I hate when certain things don't release on the console I own. But I do love my 360 so I guess 360 :P

I think the Xbox 360 is better than the PS3 for two reasons.1:the xbox has,in my opinion, much better exclusives like left 4 dead 2, halo 's, and gears of war. 2:We have a better controller, better online service, and also we are the preffered station for first party game companies. I do not like having to pay for online service, and also hate the fact that i might get the red ring, but overall, the xbox is ultimately sleeker and better than its rival.
