I was wondering who all expects/wants a sequel to Dead Island. I think the first one was a great game especially for a developers first game, but there's room for improvement and still more fun to be had. I want to know your opinion on any thing they should change or keep and what made Dead Island stand out in your mind.

The main thing for me is they take more time with this one. I enjoyed Dead Island, but the glitches were really annoying. I had weapons disappear, hours of data lost because the game would decide to stop saving, and had to restart quests numerous times because characters would get stuck on objects.

I'd also like to see the weapon degrading scaled back a little. It's one thing to keep from getting too comfortable with one weapon, it's another to make it break in ten swings.

And last, I'd like a bigger world. I'd love a big open country side that connects the main areas. I think it'd be a perfect spot for driving and smashing zombies up.

The first one was ok. It wasn't great. My issues where with the weapons. If I can find it I should be able to use it regardless of my level. We will see if it is any good or just a company trying to squeeze the last ounce of money out of an idea.

I'm now playing through the first one with a few friends and having a blast. Just driving around in cars, ganging up on zombies (nice change from the opposite).

I'm very impressed with the quality*quality they were able to put out for such a studio. Kudos to Techland.

I would agree that a bigger world and better QA would really help a sequel. The first one was great but the glitches could be annoying and the tropical aesthetic really started to wear on me.

I would definitely pick up the sequel, as I had a lot of fun with the orginal.

That being said, QA has to be on point this time around and catch these glitches before the game goes gold.  I lost all my trophy progress halfway into one playthrough and couldn't begin to count how many times the game froze on me and I had to hard reset.

There is a new game coming out called Dead Island Riptide.

I really would like to see Riptide happen

I personally cannot wait for Riptide. I will hunting constantly for details.
