I watched Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close in theaters last night. It was a looongg movie, almost 2 and a half hours, I think. The kid is the main role in the film, and he has Asperger's disease, and as a result I found him very obnoxious as a character and so annoying that I didn't really enjoy the movie at times. For the most pert it is good, and very sad

Fright Night was a pretty good movie. It wasnt a lot like the original which was kind of cool in a sense.

Not like the original was any less cooler but I like how they did the remake.

I just went to the movies and caught, Immortals.

I would give it a 3 out of 5. A pretty cool movie that really needed some work in some areas, especially the costumes.

Jaws, an absolute classic and a joy to watch every single time I view it. I can't wait for the Bluray release.

I'm hoping to see the newer adaptation of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo sometime this week. I thought the Swedish film was average but Noomi Rapace definitely stole the spotlight.

It'll be interesting to watch what a new set of actors can bring to the table.

Saw 'The Girl...' again

When I say that I can't suggest it- I mean I can't suggest it to just anyone because it's a strong R with weighty/dark subject matter- it's an excellent film.

Rooney Mara's performance is also strong as Lisbeth; the difference here is that there's a lot more push-back from the other players, with some other compelling performances. In particular the Swedish film's Blomkvist was a bit too milquetoast.

Does the US version benefit from the subconscious notion that Salander is saving James Bond, and therefore that much more a force?Perhaps- but in seriousness it seems quite fair to say that this production had the stronger players (it was also a bigger production in terms of securing those actors).

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol- B+

While the plot is a little crazy, it has some of the best action sequences of the year.

Warrior 4/5 Tom Hardy's performance in the movie was great, he is becoming on of my favorite actors.

pretty amazing; can't really suggest it to anyone here, I've talked to 20-year-olds who obviously weren't mature enough to see it.

Just finished Dinner With Shmucks and Arthur. Friend lent me his copies, and I thought both films were very decent. Would give 4 / 5 to both of them. Although I am lenient on scores though. :)

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol - B+

I'm gonna call it now. Brad Bird will be the next big action director. The sandstorm sequence is really well done and was probably my favorite part of the whole film. If Brad sticks with this series, it's in good hands and has me sold.

A Christmas Carol (2009, Jim Carrey), as apart of a "A Christmas Carol" marathon to celebrate--obviously--Christmas. It wasn't as great as Scrooge (1970), not even close.
