The lights are on
No! Think of all the backlash and frustrations console companies would have to deal with because of the unreliability of Internet companies and signals. Any time you move and are waiting for the AT&T or Comcast to arrive, you won't be able to pop in a game and play. A tower goes down? The console is no better than a paperweight. Bad idea.
Absolutely not a fan of the "Always-On" console.
I wouldn't even take it if you offered it for free
No. The power bill would be scary!
Not at all. I don't mind the one time authentication like most PC games now, but an always on connection is a death warrant for a console. I had pre-ordered SimCity, ecstatic about it. Because of the DRM debacle, I've lost interest in the game entirely. If Xbox does it, I'll lose interest in the system entirely.
I voted Yes because my internet service is reliable enough that it wouldn't dissuade me from buying a console that I would want otherwise, the next Xbox for example. However, it's not a feature I would like to see simply because it could be a problem for too many people, and there may be other unforeseen problems similar to what we see today during MMO launch windows.
Um nope i don't know what that is anyway
I mean my internet's always on anyway, but I played my PS3 offline half the time.
Um well maybe im guest i can get it but i have to get a job first
With how shoddy internet connections are these days, this is a big NO from me. If Dark Souls II kicked me out because my internet would go on and off and slow down, I'd be really pissed.
