The lights are on
For those who haven't played it completely, I could understand the bad reviews. To receive what BioShock 2 has to offer you can't judge it.
There are no bad reviews of it just some stuff pointed out that people thought they could have done better with. Every review I have read has been mostly positive for it and has said the last three hours of it alone are worth the purchase.
it won't let me vote, but i thought it was a great game. not quite as good as the first one.
I think this sequel is a great game, and I'm glad fans of the original is getting a second dose of this.
I think it is a good game and I don't think anything needed to be changed about it for the sequel to BioShock
It's not horrible but the fact that your Big Daddy is weaker than a newborn.
I am loving the sequel every bit as much as I loved the original. I think they set this game in Rapture as well as they could have while still keeping the city intact and not making any changes that didn't make sense. I do think a Bioshock 3 would have to come up with something completely new however.
I like the sequal, but the first one will always be better. The first time a splicer rocked the pod when you come out of the water at the very begining will be forever etched in my mind. So will the phrase "would you kindly."
Okay, this is ridiculous. I'm still trying to figure out how the heck I can vote. When I see the Poll pulled up, it doesn't have a 'vote' option. I click on Polls under Take Part, then click the title for the Poll. And then nothing. Am I missing something or does GI think members (yes I'm registered with the site) may besmirch the accuracy of their Polls?
In all honesty i never felt like a big daddy in this game. i might of well had been jack with a giant drill for an arm.....it was an amazing game but jeez.....
I'm not saying the game's bad, it's pretty good, it's just the first game made it seem like a dark and mysterious place and it seemed like it could have stood on its own. It didn't really need a sequel to clear things up, I'd rather it remain the dark and mysterious place it was.
I stands on its own
It definitely doesn't blow the first one away because even without the aspect of being a Big Daddy with an awesome drill, the first one was incredibly enjoyable. But the second one does stand well on its own and deserves better than a 8.25. I believe it should have gotten at least a 9.25.
Also,in this poll, the reason the "BioShock didn't need this sequel" is so high is because people who didn't even play the game but just saw the okay rating and voted against it when they had no right.
Bioshock 2 is no less than the sequel to one of the most original games to release this console generation. It is a terrific game. But anyone who expects the magic of the original game is a fool.
