The lights are on
That would be a big "no" from me. You know what's great about my NES? I can still play it over 20 years later. You know what's going to suck about an always online console? Not being able to play anymore once the authentication servers are shut down.
Not at all.
I can tolerate always being connected. But I will not buy a console that requires it. I can't even imagine what company would be that stupid. It has already been a disaster for certain games why would somebody think it would work at the console level?If I owned a company that made consoles and this was brought to me as an idea I would fire that person and tell them they are bad.
90% of this game is 60% mental.
Besides the impracticality of such a device, a little peace and quiet from the rest of the world is a good thing.
That console will fail faster than that coyote from Loony Tunes.
