The lights are on
I like to watch cutscenes, but if I have previously completed the game then I will skip the cutscene. :)
If it's a story-driven game I'll watch them, but if I'm not invested whatsoever in the story and haven't been following it I'll just skip or at least use the opportunity to go grab some food or something.
I only skip cutscenes in games that I've already beaten and seen all cutscenes.
You have to watch them at least the first time through, that's like closing your eyes and plugging your ears during plot points in movies. Closing your eyes and ears during a movie is only acceptable for most B movies and Transformers 2....
no way! they're integral to the story. it's nice to have the option though. Like say I lose a boss battle over and over and am really tired of seeing the same scene before I can fight again.
i only skip cutscenes if i know whats going to happen in the cutscene.
stevo
I pay close attention to the cutscenes! All the time cause there soooo good!
I do and at the same time I don't...It really all depends on how important the information is to me that is in it.
I am Mufasa!
The first time I play a game, I do not skip any of cutscenes. After that, I do unless that cutscene was particularly memorable. In that case, I will watch it again for kicks.
Damn it, I do all of the above. It just depends what game I'm playing, and what cutscene it is. lol
very much like me
Always feel like I'm missing something if I don't watch them, and it's nice to give my fingers a rest.
Well, there are cutscenes and then there are cutscenes. I'm normally compelled to watch them all at least once, which leaves me feeling abused when a game director movie-director-wannabe wants to submit me to a long version of their story while taking away control even of the camera from me. But not many games do this these days, thankfully.
Sometimes i watch cutscenes if they are important to the game.
