The lights are on
I just wanted everyone to be aware that we put up a patch today to try and address the users blogs not appearing and the point system being off.
So we reset everyone's points to the correct values (at least we think we did).
Sorry for any problems this may have caused. The developers tell me this shouldn't have demoted you on anything you can do, but your rank was reset to the proper point values.
It's beta!!! =)

I wondered why I suddenly lost that nice bronze border around my pic. Oh well, I guess I'll have to earn it back. I still don't see my blog though, I fear it may be lost forever.

If you are greater than 500, your post SHOULD go to the front page with your next post. If it's being annoying, it might be the next post. but once again, I'm being told this was tested and fixed. As I found this bug to be extremely crucial.

I was wondering why I lost 1,100 points since last night . The other day I lost 300. Oh well, guess I'll have to work harder. Are we going to keep loosing points?
I think it's funny that if I am not on your site every day and posting about something even though I have a subscription to your mag I can't participate in some of the things on your site. I guess 6 or 7 years of being a loyal subscriber doesn't mean much to you.

We shouldn't lose anymore points. And they weren't lost. They were corrected. Basically people were getting points for other people posting on the original posters posts. I have 4400 and now im down to 670, so i feel all your pain as well.
Why are the points an issue, long time members know its not a race around here, nor has it ever been.
You tend to get judged around here by the quality and the content of your posts moreso than seniority or by how many posts you racked up quickly.

Agreed. Actually I liked the old ranking system better. With the colored rank and custom names. The amount of points you have mean nothing if you can't post anything readable.
Nuts, and I needed 1,000 more to become silver
