The lights are on
I just wanted to remind everyone that this site is in a BETA state. But that said...we are working on the speed issues as we speak, and we have already fixed the anonymous poster problem...we think. =)

Good to know. Don't worry. I'm patient.
Thanks, I thought it was just my computer!...well...maybe it is
I am a mac gamer and proud of it.
What he said. ^
I agree. The site does seem faster today.
Yes, a lot faster. No bugs today for me too! Just a little more streamlining, and bring back more of the old when it comes to the forums, and I'll be good to go.
It does feels faster now, you guys are awesome.
I tried to post to the "bug report" thread but I got a warning that I didn't have the necessary permission/level to reply to that thread. This seems like a catch-22 bug although I guess that if I level up, I can workaround it.
Anyway, I wanted to report several bugs.
1- The first one is minor. The new site displays date formats inconsistently.
The related posts panel shows 2 different formats:
The Tides That Divide - Is Game Development A Cooperative Or Competitive Game?

and under user profile, the beta site uses a third one - 09-30-2009 00:00:00
I checked my user settings and the date format control only seems to affect the forum.
2- The second one is more significant. I noticed that the navigation menu bar (under the site name and real-time status update block) is displaying text in a strange text encoding (or maybe, it's just simply garbled English text). I took a snapshot of it. I'll post my snapshot using the file attachment option for posting and hope that it works. (Due to file size restrictions, I could only upload a low-res image but I still have the original hi-res image.)
3- When replying to a thread post (this one in particular), when switching between the "fast" and "advanced" reply modes, any text that's been entered in the "fast" mode buffer isn't copied over to the "advanced" mode buffer. The text remains in the "fast" mode buffer after the switch so when I made the switch, I had to manually cut-and-paste the text between buffers.
The site works better on my laptop simply because it has Firefox, but still, it is now definitely better on my desktop's IE now. Thanks.
@nygfan11 Yeah, this is definitely a problem and thanks for pointing it out, next week we will search of a solution, as the forums are the current priority.
The videos don't work, I use chrome. And I have to press twice to post a reply or comment, the site is faster than yesterday, but when you post it takes a long time.
We appriciate all the hard work you guys are doing. The site is amazing!!!
The speed is great right now. having no problems!
The speed is down quite a bit for me right now, and it's not my internet connection either. I'm just gonna hope that it's because a team of highly trained monkeys are adding some bells and whistles to the site.
Yeah, I'm having some problems too.
