Toby McGuire failed at being Spider-Man. I hope they get someone more capable of doing the job.

Yeah Toby failed alright. He failed to make more money off the franchise by pulling out.He did a pretty *** good job. It was an obvious success. Though 3 was pretty horrible no need to actually blame him. That was all Raimi who butchered that one. Though myself I didnt think he would be a good fit in the beginning I commend him for the job he did. But hopefully Cameron does do it and maybe they will find someone pretty cool to play Spidey. I just hope it comes out as a better version then Raimis first,not that it was bad in any way, just wishful thinking on my part. Without rehashing anything from the first one.

Totally agree, never liked Spider-Man series

This is just stupid. Sure, Spider-Man 3 wasn't all that great, but it wasn't that bad to where the series would need a reboot. If Sam Raimi had full control over it, like he did with the first two, it would've been just as awesome. He truly cared about the series and it's a shame he'll no longer be part of the series.

Personally, I'd take Spider-Man 2 over any other comic book film.

I had heard rumblings that this was coming for a while, so I'm not surprised.

Treestump, you'd take it over Watchmen, The Hulk (Norton version), Iron Man, Batman Begins, Batman: the Dark Knight, or even Blade? I don't think it was THAT great of a movie.

As great as those films are, yes I would. It may be the Spidey fan in me or just the fact that I loved the movie, but I stand by what I said.

Kudos for standing by your opinion. My favorite comic character was butchered by Nicolas "I suck at acting" Cage. Honestly, Hulk was probably my favorite. There were just so many little jokes for comic fans on top of amazing action and the movie was just everything Ang Lee's Hulk wasn't (which is definitely a good thing).

1 was great, 2 was amazing, 3 was horrible. rami *** up, thank god for this reboot.

Rami *** it up on purpose because the studio wouldn't give him the control he wanted. He did not want to have so many villains in the movie.

Don't reboot anything. Stop with the remakes and the reboots and come up with something original for once in your life. The movie series is not that old.

Tobey Maguire ruined it for me, that and Kirsten Dunst'  horible acting.

The only thing I did not like was Venom.  I know it was supposed to be more of a mirror image of Parker, but it did not work.  I also heard Sam did it as a protest, if so, then he pissed off alot of fans just so he could make a point.
