Dark knight of corse, avengers, hobbit, and though I don't know of any that will be comming out, I'm hoping another Will Farrel/Danny McBride comedy. because we all know if you don't laugh a little between nerdgasms, you'll die.
#1 The Dark Knight Rises
#2 John Dies At The End
#3 The Avengers
#4 The Amazing Spider-Man
#5 The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II (Just kidding!)
So far my number one must see, day one movie of 2012 is The Dark Knight Rises. Words can't express how hyped I am for this one movie. Oh and The Amazing SpiderMan seems promising.
I'm looking forward to these movies, in no particular order:
1) The Dark Knight Rises
2) The Hobbit
3) The Avengers
4) The Amazing Spider-Man
I'm a little skeptical about the Hunger games, I did read the books, but I'm not sure how good the movie is going to be.
The official trailer of The Hunger Games was amazing i thought now i am so hyped for the movie now.
@Gamer2486:
But we all know trailers can be very deceptive, as I learned over the years. I'm hoping it will be a good movie just like any other fan, but like most movies that make it to the big screen, it's not really a good translation of the book. But I'll still wait and see how it goes.
Noticing a lack of some noteworthy movies. What I'm most looking forward to (as far as I know):
Chronicle
The Woman in Black
John Carter
The Cabin in the Woods
Prometheus
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
Brave
The Amazing Spider-Man
The Bourne Legacy
Paranorman
Looper
007: Skyfall
Lincoln
World War Z
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
The Great Gatsby
@Treestump:
That's a lot of movies! :D
Yeah I'm pretty blown away that they're making a John Carter Warlord of Mars movie... my roommate (also named John Carter) from several years back made me read Borroughs' John Carter series a while back. When I saw the previews (running all X-mas during the season opener for NBA) I immediately recognized the four-arm lizard dudes.
Similarly my 'kidsis' had me read the Hunger Games series a year or so ago (whenever the last book was released); it's definitely another of those young-adult series that is written on a level that transcends the target demo (similar to Ender's Game, which the series will certainly remind readers of, but not in the sense that it is a derivative work). Anyway, I've only seen one trailer for that, but I'll be keeping an eye out and hope it comes out good.
Never had much use or liking for Fitzgerald's book about a rich prat playboy written in a time when people were mostly destitute. Which is to say, big fat pass on The Great Gatsby, unless they cleverly retool it as the story of Ken Lay.
nevaR!
And Prometheus should be on everyone's list, preferably at the top.
Being a fan of the first three Alien movies I'm pretty curious to watch Prometheus. In my opinion the best Ridley Scott films are his sci-fi classics. I think it's cool that he is returning to that particular genre.
I'm also curious to see Noomi Rapace in a leading role in a U.S. film. Should be interesting, especially since there are a lot of other great actors performing in the film as well.
Yep, Prometheus looks to very interesting, hopefully they release another trailer sometimes soon.
I'm excited for "G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation" co-starring "The Rock" and Bruce Willis. Looks like it will have more ninjas than the first one.
