You may be familiar with these types of threads. Last book you read, whatever it may be, rate and give us your commentary on how you thought the book was. Try to stick to fiction as best you can and graphic novels are allowed, though not weekly comics. Use a five star scale (no half stars) and try your best to provide decent analysis and impressions. Hope this maybe gives some good ideas for reading to budding minds. I'll provide an example of how it should work:

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith

--The British classic revamped with zombies.

3.5/5--I loved the added element of humor, but I might as well have read the original novel(sans zombies).

PenDragon: The Soldiers of Halla

by D.J. MacHale

-The final book in the series shows the ending of the PenDragon adventure.

4/5 I thought it was very good and the ending left you to truly wonder.

- About a guy with an unusual way to make money, only so much more.

4.5/5 I thought the whole book was thought provoking, funny, and ended with a huge twist.  I loved this book!

John Dies at the end. by David Wong

If I could give it a 6/5 I would.

This thing will make you laugh and give you nightmares. My pants are tighter ever since I read that book if you get my drift. Its been 3 weeks.

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. 5/5

Excellent sci-fi novel. All I can do now is read the whole series.

The Dark Tower Book 7 by Stephen King

The end to Mr. King's epic seven volume work.  I myself really enjoyed the ending, it was a real kick in the ass and unexpected, but after a bit of pondering on it I really enjoyed it.

"The Gathering Storm" by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson

Book 12 in the Wheel of Time series, and the first book after the untimely passing of Robert Jordan.  However, Sanderson does an admirable job with the story, and the book is great.  Certain things aren't up to snuff here and there, but overall, brilliant.

Very well written, and it all seems so possible so as to make you wonder what the odds of the main plot points of the series really happening are.

a tough book to read but really awesome. decided to read after i heard about Dante's Inferno. everyone should really try to read it before playing the game.

World War Z by Max Brooks

This book is extremely well written, despite the obvious handicap of being about zombies. Every chapter is an interview with a survivor of the zombie apocalypse. Brooks, the author of The Zombie Survival Guide and son of filmmaker Mel Brooks, dives deep into the technical, political and psychological aspects of a zombie apocalypse. GREAT BOOK.
