The lights are on
Wassup my Fellow Gamers,
Thanksgiving is around the corner. So i was wondering(as a fellow person who loves to stuff his face) what are your favorite thanksgiving dishes. How do you like your turkey; deep fried, fried, smoked, oven roasted? What kind of sides dishes as well?
Personally, i like the turkey deep fried but this year, I am looking forward to some smoked turkey XD .
as for side dishes, OMG Candied Yams are a gift to all mankind. i love them. and sweet potato pie
So what do my fellow gamers like to chow down on?
The Grapist, "he sneeks into little kids bedrooms at night and grapes them in the mouth" lmao
Baked sweet potatoes with them little marshmallows on top.
sausage stuffing, and fried eggplant.(yum).
Teh glorious mashed po-tay-toes with sweet ham gravy on top. on top of some turkey. with cranberrys on it. and maybe some ham on it. and some pecan pie. with a little more turkey. and some stuffing. and a tad bit of cornbread. and sweet potatoes.
That canned cranberry jelly stuff. I can't get enough.
Oh, but possibly better was the grilled turkey I had a few years ago. Best turkey I ever had in my life.
Grilled turkey?! I never thought of doing that...
Wampa King: Grilled turkey?! I never thought of doing that...
I know, crazy right? But it was absolutely perfect. I have no idea how it was done.
I Must find recipe!
Wampa King: I Must find recipe! 12 pounds whole turkey 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning salt and pepper to taste Prepare an outdoor grill for indirect medium-high heat. Rinse turkey and pat dry. Turn wings back to hold neck skin in place. Return legs to tucked position. Brush turkey with oil. Season inside and out with Italian seasonings, salt, and pepper. Place turkey, breast side up, on a metal grate inside a large roasting pan. Arrange pan on the prepared grill. Grill 2 to 3 hours, to an internal thigh temperature of 180 degrees F (85 degrees C). Remove turkey from grill and let stand 15 minutes before carving.
What I remember most about the taste was that it was perfectly salted. So where it says "salt and pepper to taste", I would recommend a lot of salt.
My cousin is a chef and he made the greatest thing last year.
A big ole turkey that was super moist with this whiskey-gravy sauce. Oh so *** good. My aunts mashed potatoes, also amazing with the whiskey sauce on it. Last year was definitely the best thanksgiving I ever had.
"You're annoying and you cry about everything, like sending a message to someone on game informer whining about it."
<3
mashed potatoes and candied yams i dont like turkey a lot
*slaps metallica*
My mom is Asian and my dad is Irish and he likes the turkey, mashed potatoes and stuff. We always have a two cultured type meal like my mom's Malaysian food and traditional thanksgiving meal. I don't like turkey, but I like the noodles, steamed dumplings and seafood dishes, but I also like the other stuff like mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie and my grandmother's peanut butter and chocolate pie.
mmm corn bread pudding. basically really soft and mushy cornbread in the middle with corn inside. that was definitely one of my favorites, and green bean casserole, I'm not a big fan of green beans but that'll do me in.
HOW CAN SOMEONE NOT LIKE TURKEY?!?!?!?
