The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a 2011 English-language dramathriller film and the second film to be adapted from the Swedish novel by Stieg Larsson. The first was The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (original title of both novel and film in Swedish Män som hatar kvinnor – literally – Men who hate women) – released in 2009. Both novel and film titles were translated for the English-speaking market as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The film was dubbed in English and other major languages.

The film, with a screenplay by Steven Zaillian, was directed by David Fincher and stars Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist and Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander. In essence, the film follows a man's mission to find out what has happened to a girl who has been missing for 36 years, and who may have been murdered.

December, 2002: Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig), publisher and part-owner of the left-wing Swedish political magazine Millennium, loses a libel case involving allegations published about billionaire financier Hans-Erik Wennerström (Stefan Sauk). Blomkvist is sentenced to three months in prison, ordered to pay hefty damages, and to pay all court costs. Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara) is a surveillance agent employed by Milton Security. Milton had been contracted to investigate Blomkvist. Salander delivers a comprehensive report on Blomkvist to a lawyer, Dirch Frode (Steven Berkoff), on behalf of his only client, 82 year- old, Henrik Vanger (Christopher Plummer). He is the former Vanger Corporation CEO. Blomkvist is invited to meet Vanger, who hires him to investigate the disappearance of his great-niece, Harriet. Harriet vanished on Children's Day in 1966. Vanger not only believes that Harriet was murdered, but that a member of the Vanger family is responsible.

He shows Blomkvist a small collection of framed, pressed flowers that Harriet had given him on his birthday since she was eight years old. In the attic is a collection of the framed flowers he has received at every birthday since her disappearance in 1966. He suspects that the sender could be Harriet's murderer. When Lisbeth Salander is told that her legal guardian has suffered a stroke, she meets lawyer Nils Bjurman (Yorick van Wageningen), who takes total control of her finances. Salander needs to replace her laptop which is damaged when she is mugged in an underground railway station. Bjurman, a sexual sadist, forces Salander to perform fellatio when she asks him for her money to replace her laptop. At their next meeting, he beats her, handcuffs her to his bed.

Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem might just be one of the most highly anticipated heavyweight battles in UFC history.While there’s no championship title on the line, this is one of the fights that fans have been begging for over the last few years.
