Franchises That Should Come to the PS Vita

No, I didn't copy GameInformer's recent "Wii U games that should be made" article, I have been thinking about this for some time now.

The PS Vita is an impressive piece of tech. With the ability to produce console-quality graphics on such a small device, it'd seem like the developers would be vying for a chance to make a game on it. But alas, few major developers have tried (or haven't at all) to make true games for the Vita. Some games like Assassin's Creed III: Liberation captured the signature feel of the AC series, but failed technically. Others like the abysmal train wreck that was Call Of Duty: Black Ops Declassified (these titles are too long) failed in every way. I few bright games like Killzone: Mercenary and Tearaway have harnessed the power of the handheld, but two or three games in nearly two years after it's release is not a good sign. Here are my picks for what game series should be ported (or a new game entirely?) to the PS Vita.

inFAMOUS

This one should seem like a no-brainer. One of Sony's biggest franchises, inFAMOUS was one of the few series that made you feel like a real super hero. A port of the inFAMOUS Collection would be nice, but a tie-in with the upcoming Second Son could move some units. Just imagine collecting a few Blast Shards in between events. Or, controlling rockets with the gyroscope.

NOT 3DS Ports of Lego Games

DO NOT BUY ANY LEGO GAMES ON THE VITA UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. Okay, now that we have that out of the way, let's be blunt: The Lego games on handheld are awful. With the talent at Traveler's Tales, you would think that they would at least fix the resolution issues with the port. It seems like it would be easier to port the console versions of the games over to the Vita, right? Well, until they decide to change their ways, Lego will remain a broken experience on handheld.

Battlefield

Now, considering DICE can't allow 64-player battles on last gen, I'm not expecting it on the Vita. But, if they can at least replicate 6v6 or 8v8 on the Vita, mixed with the vehicle combat and Frostbite engine, I'm sure players could manage.

An Original Battlefront Game

Now, I suppose Battlefield and this could go hand in hand, since they are now both developed by DICE. This is a game that we know works on handheld, and -arguably- better than on Playstation 2. If they can't do Battlefield, surely Battlefront can be made. And if not Battlefront... MAKE A STAR WARS GAME ON VITA ALREADY!

Something Naughty Dog

Seriously. If The Last of Us can get almost unanimous praise, you'd only have to add the logo to the Home Screen for the Vita's sales to skyrocket. But in all seriousness, a game by ND would be nice. Maybe not another Uncharted, but a new game by the talented dev could really help the system.

Fallout

Yeah... I know, but one can dream, can't they?

So, that's my list. Any ideas? Ha, course not, no has a Vita yet! Anyway, thanks for reading chiiiildren, this is Thr-- Sorry... Got a bit carried away, there.
