The lights are on

It has sure been a while since I wrote a blog (6 months) and I do apologize for that. I honestly haven't been busy recently, but instead of writing blogs I have been speaking my thoughts and opinions through the I Watched The Entire Overblood Super Replay group. It truly is a great group there, with a very large active and friendly community. I haven't been absent from the site though, and one thing I have enjoyed is Andrew Reiner's blog on what he is currently playing. So I figured I would do the same. Here is what I am going to be playing this following week.
NCAA Football 13
I have found myself to be very much enjoying this game despite some lag issues. The graphics and animation look great and the ESPN presentation is outstanding. The game is not without its faults though. Along with the previously mentioned lag issues, there are some serious bugs in Road to Glory mode. It is almost impossible to earn your coaches trust on the highest difficulty. Aside from those little gripes, the game is great and I plan on finishing my first season as offensive coordinator for the University of New Mexico State in dynasty mode.
Kingdom Hearts: 3D Dream Drop Distance
I am beyond excited for this game, so much so that I pre-ordered the Mark of Mastery Edition. This game is really shaping up to be a solid entry in the series, and will hopefully set up for an eventual Kingdom Hearts III. My friend and I are going to bbe picking this game up on Tuesday and will e playing it likely all day. I plan to blog about my thoughts and when I complete it, post a blog about my final thoughts.
God of War
I was able to get the first two God of War games on PS2 from a friend, and so far I am enjoying the time I have spent with the first one. I am not very far, but the game still holds up pretty well. One complaint I do have is that the game requires a lot of fast button mashing, which I have very much trouble with. Games should not punish players who simply lack the ability to repeatedly mash a button in a short period of time.
I so far have mixed opinions about this game. While it is a solid entry in the series, some of the Pokemon are quite dumb. I cringe sometimes just seeing some of the awful ideas for a Pokemon. For instance, how am I supposed to take a Pokemon shaped like a chandelier seriously? Aside from that the game is decent so far and my plan is to beat the 2nd gym leader this week.
Find a new TV show
I finished all the seasons of Family Guy recently and need a new comedy to brighten my days. If anyone one has a suggestion, feel free to post it in the comments. I prefer animated shows, but it really doesn't matter as long as it is funny.
Reread the Calvin and Hobbes series
Every summer I read the Calvin and Hobbes books again. It truly is the most magical and charming comic I have ever read. The humor is still spot on, and some strips leave me with that warm and fuzzy feeling of nostalgia every time. If you have not read them, I demand you to purchase the Essential Calvin and Hobbes to introduce yourself to the series.
Start Recording my first Let's Play for YouTube
A close friend of mine gave me an Easycap so I can start a Youtube channel. I hope to start my first ever Let's Play this week. The game I plan to play is Luigi's Mansion, one of my favorite Gamecube games and an extremely underrated gem. Well those are my plans for this week, what do you plan on doing?
Some good picks here. Decent writing as well. Although it's mainly musing- that's great too. ;-)
