The lights are on
Power Member - Level 9
Yes, the top-ten Gordon Freeman quotes, some of you may argue that he is a silent protagonist. Well I disagree, I think it's a perfect blog topic, and also perfectly possible, to list all of those great, amazing things that Gordon Freeman has said during his adventures.
Anybody who has played Half-Life would know about these great quotes, some of these quotes are hilarious, some of these quotes are sad, and some are shockingly powerful. So here I go, to list all of those of those great quotes.
10. "..."
Yes, "..." this fantastic quote was said during the entire duration of the infamous Ravenholm level. Even when Gordon Freeman was being surrounded by zombies, he was still talking, going through this amazing quote that lasts the entire level. This quote is what I remember the most about Half-Life 2, and is also one of my favorite quotes of all time, not even just games, but my favorite quote across all media.
9. "..."
While this quote is very similar to the last quote, it is very different in context, said during an early level in the first Half-Life. This quote is hilarious, it is ranks among such hilarious quotes like Cave Johnson's Lemon Rant. And some of GLaDOS's great quotes, although "..." outranks all of these, and a clear choice for the ninth best Gordon Freeman quotes.
This Next Quote Is Very Serious
8. "..."
Just like number nine, this quote is also very similar to number ten. Although unlike number nine, this quote is not funny, it is extremely serious. And is also one of the most though provoking things I've ever heard, more so than "Does it have a soul?" in Mass Effect 2. This quote has actually changed the way I view life.
7. "...'
This quote ranks up at number seven on the Gordon Freeman quotes not because of what IS said, but because of what isn't said. For this quote Gordon doesn't say anything, and this is what makes it so powerful, the fact that in the middle of battling a Strider, he remains completely silent. Not uttering a single word is what makes this quote so powerful, while other people would be yelling out and swearing, Gordon Freeman remains silent.
6. "..."
Yet again, Gordon is silent during a time that others would find traumatic, this quote however, is different to "...". It isn't powerful, it isn't funny, but it is, shocking. It's one of those quotes that makes you pause the game, and recover from the sheer amount of shock, that this quote brings. And that is why is places in at number six.
Gordon Freeman: He Has a PhD In Buttkicking
5. "..."
This quote is another one of the more funny quotes, said during the first level of Opposing Force, while Opposing Force may be not very well known. It is still a great expansion pack, and has some great quotes to go with it. This quote is funny, not just funny, hilarious, I still chuckle whenever I remember this quote. And is also one of the best "Gordon Freeman" quotes ever.
(Note: Some of you may argue that Gordon Freeman isn't the protagonist of Opposing Force, but I'm going to count this as a Gordon Freeman quote anyway.)
4. "..."
Um, okay, maybe there isn't a fourth, third, second or first best quote. I guess there only are six good quotes from Gordon Freeman, so I'm going to go ahead and wrap up the list here.

Okay, so that was my first attempt at a comedy blog, and I hope you enjoyed. Leave your comments about it in the comments below. And tell me about your favorite Gordon Freeman quotes.
"..."
Very interesting take on Gordon Freeman's diverse vocabulary. He is a man of many words, both effective and ineffective. I don't know how the man hasn't been recognized for his insight sooner!
Simply excellent.
I personally felt that Gordon's words were offensive, and he often made it hard for the player to relate to him. Maybe they'll get a better writing staff when Half Life 3 rolls around.
This is my quote! I call plagiarism!
...
@Orochi: Yep, definatley a great moment.
@GolvsSilver: I know! How hasn't anybody relised how many great and diverse things he's said.
@Benderstrike: Thankyou.
@Le Hannibal: Well if you felt that way, then maybe he'll be better in HL3.
@Stranger: I'm very sorry, I thought I had referenced you somewhere... :D
@tutelsongo: ...
@Masterassassin: Yes, "..." was indeed a great moment.
@Marz: You really do, hopefully you know that he doesn't talk right? :D
@LittleManMordecai: Thanks, and thanks.
How, on this list, did you somehow fail to include "..."? It is by far one of the most inspirational quotes I've ever heard! How dare you make this "list" without even including the undisputed best quote Gordon Freeman has ever said?!!?
That is all.
