My top Dek games of 11 Ɛ9: the Actual List

So to start, let's just look at all the games I chosen for my top Dek so far: Gunpoint,  Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Faster than Light, Pokémon Y, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Shin Megami Tensei: Soul Hackers, X-COM: Enemy Unknown, Assassins Creed 2, and Civilization V. I'll be putting links to each one next to its place, so you can go back and read my full "review" if you want to. And without further ado, here we go.

10. Gunpoint

Starting off my list is the game that started off the list, Gunpoint, an Indie Puzzle/ Strategy game plagued only by a short campaign. It'd be difficult to find a better game for $10, unless of course you read on in this list.

9. Pokémon Y

People asked me how much I enjoyed my first Pokémon game. This much. Not a little, but not a whole lot either. Even though it got a little repetitive and boring at the end, It still felt good because I knew that I put myself there through rigorous training and lots of patience.

8. X-COM: Enemy Unknown

The First game I bought on Steam, and another reason that just because a game is on sale, doesn't mean it's a bad game. Enemy Unknown may not be the best remake out there, but it certainly gets the job done. If I could redo my entire gaming life, I would still play this game.

7. SMT Soul Hackers

My Introduction into the Shin Megami Tensei series, and 3rd favorite 3DS game this year, Soul hackers may be rough around the edges, but it's pretty nice once you get to know it. I had fun exploring the dungeons and battling monsters in Amami City, and I wouldn't give up that time for anything in the world.

6. Assassins Creed 2

I enjoyed my Time In Italy with Ezio, but whenever I think about my Backlog and the fact that I still have to wade through AC 2.5 and 2.75... Meh. Regardless, If Assassins Creed 2 wasn't good enough to have 2 sequels in which you do almost exactly the same thing, they wouldn't exist. This game is good, and at times great; but I still wish they didn't go into the whole Ancient Aliens thing.

5. Civilization V: Gods and Kings

This seems like an obvious choice to me. If you didn't see this coming you should probably lay off the stupid pills. Civilization V is strategy game Paradise and if you're not careful you could spend hundreds of hours in here. One. More. Turn. At. A. Time.

4. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Here we have yet another game from my Backlog that finally makes an appearance. Hyrule has never been more Dark and Mature than in Twilight Princess, and it definitely shows in a Google Search. This is not only my all-time Favorite LoZ game, but also contains what I think, is some of the Best Boss battle in Video Games... I just got another idea for a blog.

3. FTL: Faster Than Light

This Rogue like Indie game muscled its way onto my list in the last couple of days of 2013 with big success. Since I got it on the day after Christmas, I've put in 63 hours and beat it 6 times. This game isn't perfect, but it's close and I love it. FTL is my PC game of the year, and best way to spend $10 on this list.

2. Fire Emblem: Awakening

My addiction to this game was like FTL, only worse. I clocked in over 100 hours in the first month, and then when on to add another 170 before the year ended. With some of the best character dialogue and some of the funniest content on this list, you can't go wrong with Fire Emblem: Awakening. This is also the highest rated game on my list that actually came out in 2013.

1. Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward

I laughed, I cried, I got confused, I got P!ssed off, I got scared, I played Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward. This game is a definite must play for anyone who had a 3DS or Vita Period. To speak of its brilliant story would only make it worse, so I'll say only this: If a game can get to my #1 spot on story alone, then you owe it to yourself to at least partake in my ravings and try it out. You won't be disappointed.

That's all I have for today, Tomorrow I'll be posting my dramatization of the FTL final boss. Until then sound off in the comments.
