The lights are on

Well, it's the second day of 11 ƐX, and so far, the only thing I'm sure of is
that we're all going to be dating documents the wrong year for months to come.
Even though a blog like this would serve better purpose, and make more sense on
the first day of the year... actually, I don't have any point to make there, I'm
only doing this one today because yesterday was my intro.
Well, Date confusion aside; let's get down into the Nitty
Gritty, Shall we? New Year's is one secular holiday celebrated the world over,
for no reason other than the fact that everyone has to buy a new calendar now.
Some people have traditions for New Years, while for others it's just another
For me at least, it's a little bit of both. My family and I don't do
anything to celebrate New Year's besides going to a party sometimes, and
staying up till midnight sometimes. That was pretty much how it had always
been. There was one change to this routine I made recently however: Every year,
on New Year's, I Play the game Infinite Space.
Now, for those of you who don't know, Infinite Space is a favorite of
mine. As a matter of fact, I've already written 2 blogs about it (links to them
are here, and here). For me, there's just something Awesome about playing a
game that I love in the last and first seconds of the year. While it might seem
a little trivial, this is something that is very near and dear to me. So much
so in fact, that it is because of this little tradition of mine that I've put
off sending in my 3DS to Nintendo to get it fixed (the right shoulder button
has been kinda un-responsive for the past week now.) Despite that I've made
quite a bit of progress in the game and it will probably be the first game I
beat in 2014.
I plan on talking about the game itself in the coming days, (and by
that, I mean tomorrow).Until then, what are some of the things you do on New
Year's? Sound off in the comments below.
