Switch Lights

The lights are on

Finally Made it to the Party

This current semester has been both busy and fun so far. Classes are about as interesting as they ever are. I’m currently stuck on a homework assignment in my Software Development class that I probably should be doing right now instead of making this blog. When it comes to programming though, I think it’s better to take a break when you get stuck on it. I also got a job at my university’s computer lab which has been good. There’s not really much to it, but it’s been fun. I like helping people when they are having problems with their computer or a program they are using. So school and work are taking up most of my time, but if I’m not doing one of those then I'm most likely with the most beautiful girl in the world. I wouldn't get very far without her. She’s actually got me into doing the one thing I usually hate doing….exercising. She’s my only motivation to work out and I'm starting to like it haha.

So gaming has taken just a little bit of a backseat lately. I only brought a handful of games with me to college because I knew I wouldn't get to play them very much. After I got my first paycheck I went and bought Dead Space 2. I know, I know I’m very late to the death party, but I’m glad to be here.

DS2 is amazing and I love every minute I play it. Big improvements from the first game for sure. Better design, more action, Isaac talks, and the gunplay is even more fun. I recently beat the game on normal and I’m currently on chapter 6 in my Zealot run. There’s something inside me that wants to go for the Hard Core run, but doing it with only three saves is scarier than a necromorph.

My biggest inspiration for even thinking about doing a hard core run comes from youtube user wolfwood824’s hard core walkthrough. I love playing games, but I also love watching LP’s and walkthroughs *cough*replay*cough*. Wolfwood has a great strategy when it comes to DS2 and I learned a lot just from watching him play.

Of course I didn’t watch his walkthrough until after I beat the game the first time though. There’s no way I would spoil myself out of a good scare. Anyways, if I ever do a hard core run I’ll need to go through Zealot mode a few times first.

Other games I brought with me are Arkham City, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, Dead Island, NBA 2K12, Saints Row 2, and Skyrim. So I’ve got a lot of work to do….fun work to do. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Sorry there isn’t really a big point to this blog. Just felt like giving an update on what’s going on and my love for Dead Space 2.

Hope you are all doing well, unlike Isaac. :)

  • I absolutely love Dead Space 2. But I don't see myself ever making it through Hard Core. I once worked up the courage, and after the first big enemy, I literary had to pause the game to breathe lol.
  • Deadspace 2 is a brilliant game and as close to perfect as you can get. Best of luck in school, with exercising and the little lady. All the best!
  • I love Dead Space 2, I have been entertaining the thought of a hardcore run as well, I have not played a really challenging game in a while. Anyways, have fun I know I am grateful whenever I can get a breath of fresh air after classes and enjoy a few good games.
  • Life always comes before gaming, or at least that's the way it should be. Glad that you're having a good semester, and congrats on the new relationship too! Those definitely take precedence over gaming.
