Hopefully by now most everyone reading this blog is familiar with the Guess that Gamer monthly feature where I ask an unidentified member from the community a series of questions that I then post in a blog and encourage you all to try and guess who the person is. I'm not keeping score, but if I were, I'd tell you that Mojomonkey12 is in the lead having guessed the correct answer 4 out of 4 times. This is the fifth episode and if you're new to the series and interested in checking out the previous editions you can find them here:

As a reminder, the blog is basically a Game Informer community edition of the "20 Questions" game...

Twenty Questions is a spoken parlor game which encourages deductive reasoning and creativity. It originated in the United States and escalated in popularity during the late 1940s when it became the format for a successful weekly radio quiz program. In the traditional game, one player is chosen to be the answerer. That person chooses a subject but does not reveal this to the others. All other players are questioners. They each take turns asking a question which can be answered with a simple "Yes" or "No." In variants of the game multiple state answers may be included such as the answer "Maybe." The answerer answers each question in turn. If a questioner guesses the correct answer, that questioner wins and becomes the answerer for the next round. If 20 questions are asked without a correct guess, then the answerer has stumped the questioners and gets to be the answerer for another round.

You may recall, the questions are generic and short enough so the answers aren't glaringly obvious who the person is. I'm sure you can identify many of the bloggers and commenters here by their writing style, but with a one word answer, obviously that's not quite as revealing.  So yeah, short questions = short answers. NOTE: In most instances answers are short, but the mystery member featured this month provided answers a little bit longer than normal; and they were so clever I just didn't have the heart to edit them. I realize it might make guessing this person's identity a bit easier, but since it's all just for fun, who really cares? Good luck. You'll need it. And with each of the questions, I provide a comment after the fact, just to kind of throw my thoughts on the answer into the mix - for the mystery gamer and the rest of the community to ponder.

Let's roll...

Guess That Gamer (MAY) - 20 Questions

1. Have you seen the Avengers yet, and if so, who was your favorite character?

Nope haven't yet because I suck, but if I did go...it'd be Thor I guess...Frankly, more interested in Batman.

(Hah, well you will love the movie if you love Thor. I much prefer Iron Man.)

2. If you are/were attending E3 and could meet someone from the industry, who would it be?

Mr. Levine...but if I remember correctly they're not going to be showing anything this E3? Something like that...

(I couldn't agree more. Having heard him speak at an event, he is truly a fascinating individual.)

3. Favorite Zelda game?

Ocarina of Time...although that might be largely for nostalgic purposes

(Hey, me too! Let me grab my fishing pole!)

4. Where do you purchase most of your new games from?

Amazon.com :D

(Not quite what I was expecting, but okay.)

5. Least favorite character from the Mass Effect series?

Udina. He can lick my husk-goo covered boots.

(Hah Hah! There were a lot of them I didn't like, but Jack probably tops the list. Despite her outward appearance and rough life, I gave her a chance and she had the audacity of treating me like a villain...)

6. Will the next Black Ops surpass the sales record of MW3 or not?

Probably...People keep claiming they're so tired of the formula, but the numbers still increase year after year.

(It is funny how that seems to work out. Despite being tired of the series, I know I'll still buy it.)

7. If you were a superhero, what special power would you want?

The power to convince Jolt that Batman is awesome. Just kidding... I'd want true invincibility xP

(Well, you might need to convince me of that too. I might like the power of invisibility.)

8. Favorite Pixar movie?

DON'T MAKE ME CHOOOSE Dx...seriously. You want my brain to implode or something? I refuse to answer the question.

(Didn't realize that was such a touchy subject. Everybody knows it's Toy Story.)

9. Are you one of the millions who watch American Idol?

No. Nien. Never. My grandma is though.

(Negative for me as well.)

10. Are video games art (Pick One: Yes / No / Sometimes / Depends)?

(Really? Hmm...I say yes.)

11. Do you wear headphones while you game?

(Always on PC; almost never on Xbox 360; sometimes on PS3.)

12. Worst game you ever played?

Haven't played it yet. Pon's still supposedly making it. No kidding um...Dynasty warriors? But I actually kinda like those...

(Hah Hah, oh no he didn't! I'd have to say something like Math Blasters, heh heh.)

13. Are you a patron of Starbucks; if so, what are you likely to order?

The few times I go...mocha cappuccino.

(I took you for one of their regulars...and shocked that you're not.)

14. Monster or Red Bull?

Neither...do you know how bad that stuff is for you? I can't go ninja with that crap in my system D:

(Now, you're just messing with me, aren't you? I could've sworn you said awhile ago...oh, never mind.)

15. Favorite Valve game?

Half Life 2. I play it at least once a day...I mean a year.

(Man, as much as I like Half Life and Portal, I'd have to go with my tried and true - Team Fortress 2.)

16. Do you like jumbo shrimp?

Who doesn't? Besides allergic people...but I heard that's a myth. Wait what?

(I don't...and there was a point to this, that I'll have to share with you some other time.)

17. Do you sing in the shower?

Who doesn't? Shoot, my shampoo bottle transforms into a mic, the multiple bars of soap my sis needs for whatever reason becomes a crowd of adoring, fruity-smelling fans, and my voice is pitch-perfect. Well...at least the last bit is grounded in reality. :P

(I don't! Well, I wouldn't really call that singing anyway.)

18. Last game you finished?

I want to say Witcher 2...but given how much I COULDN'T do during my first play through...Portal.

(Wait, have you or haven't you finished Portal? If not, you need to. That game is most excellent.)

19. Video game platform of choice?

You mean of no choice? PC :D

(Shh. You'll give it away.)

20. Favorite consonant and vowel?

Naturally the hardest question would be the last. Hmm... K and O...

(Now I know you're making up answers as you go along...that can't be right! It just can't be.)

This concludes the fifth edition of Guess that Gamer. I hope everyone enjoyed it and I look forward to the guesses. Remember, you get out of the community what you put into it, so join in on the fun and take a guess. Who knows, maybe episode six will feature you? I'll post the answer in a day or so. Cheers.
