Cody's Take on Dead Space 3

Last week you all watched the debut of Cody, the foul-mouthed politically incorrect puppet. Some of you thought it was hilarious, some thought it was strange and others thought it was just plain dumb. I'm hoping to strike a perfect balance between all three.

This week Cody gives his thoughts on Dead Space 3. He played the half-hour demo and -- like all the best online personalities -- now considers himself an expert on the game. Unfortunately he didn't have many positive things to say about it. Let me know how you liked the video and if you haven't yet subscribed to my YouTube channel, head on over and do that already! Thanks for watching.

Stay classy Game Informer!

  • "Have you ever seen a scary movie take place in the snow?" Awesome :) I'd throw "The Last Winter" on that list; it's a lesser known film and the ending kind of falls apart, but up until then it's a pretty damn fun suspense/thriller. Definitely has some of that The Thing vibe to it.

  • This was amazing!

  • Great job Indie !!

  • That was great :) One tip about puppeteering, remember to have the puppet opening his mouth when he talks instead of closing, that way it will look more like the human mouth when it talks.  That was great dialogue though :)

  • "What's scary about the snow?" -- Not being able to see what's ahead of you, not being sure if the ground beneath your feet is stable, rockslides, snow drifts falling, avalanches, being buried alive, hypothermia, etc... Also, not everyone is going to make the Christmas association. In fact, it just makes me think of Winter. There are people who don't even have snow when Dec 25th comes round. "Where are the boobs" ...seriously? Just... ugh Microtransactions are purely optional and for people who miss the point of the game. They had the same thing in Dead Space Mobile. I never needed them, neither will any other Dead Space fan with time and investment. In closing -- I really hope this was just supposed to be a joke, because the weapon customization, upped-difficulty (I walk through without so much as a worry with Dead Space 2 on Hardcore and Dead Space 3 actually presented a challenge), and new mechanics (besides rolling) seem to all work great. I'm merely being honest with you here, I'm not trying to offend.
  • I love it! You're doing a good job staying true to Cody's personality. While I agree with Cavehobo about the mouth, I'm not going to presume to tell you how your show. (I know I couldn't do any better;)

  • I would love to see Cody's take on an RPG game like Ni No Kuni!! :D hehe
