The Indie & Mojo Show Episode 13: With Special Guest Hist!

Ok guys I'm going to level with you on this one. I am too exhausted to put much effort into writing up the blog for this episode. My life has been crazy for the past couple weeks due to moving out of my house and back in with the rents for a while to save money. With that move comes internet problems, causing me to want to throw my Dad's Mac through a window and searching the entire house for the wifi network key that my technologically-challenged parents don't seem to know even existed in the first place.

So with that said, I am just going to let you listen to this episode and not bother yourselves with my ridiculous situation. It really is ridiculous. I hate Macs, just so you know. I mean really, you should've heard me swearing at it last night. Anyway, this episode with Dave aka Hist was recorded last week and next week's episode was recorded this week so that we don't need to record the week of Thanksgiving, but we will at least still post an episode.

Seriously though, I hate Macs. They aren't as intuitive and easy to use as everyone would have you believe. It's the equivalent of learning a new language such as Spanish which everyone says is super easy to learn but yo no hablo espanol muy bueno. See?

So yeah, we have a contest this week and next week which people can win a PSN download code for Chono Trigger courtesy of our friends of the show at Square Enix. All you need to do is comment on Shootist2600's blog about the new GIO FanFic Fellowship. Participation isn't needed but definitely encouraged. Next week's show will feature Mr. Shootist as a guest as well so stay tuned for that.

We shout out some other people this week but you'll need to listen to find out who they are.

Our music this week is provided by Reiner's band Tripping Icarus. Thanks to Reiner for permission to use the band's music. Check out more at their website.

Ok now on to the show:

The Indie & Mojo Show Episode 13...ok seriously I hate Macs. I don't know how to copy and paste a URL on a Mac so I can't link to the page but if you would kindly visit indieandmojoshow.podomatic.com to listen to the show and any others you may have missed. Anyone who wants to explain to me in the comments how I can copy and paste things on Mac OS please do. I am going crazy over here.

Anyway if you haven't subscribed to us on iTunes, then you're just plain silly and must be feeling rather sheepish right about now.

Did I mention how much I hate Macs??

Stay classy Game Informer

Thanks for stopping by!

  • Hearing it nonstop while doing homework was fun.., anyways Nice job guys, I actually laughed.. which is weird. :P

EDIT: Macs are awesome!!!!!!!! :D They butter my biscuits. ;)
  • Pretty good episode guys. It was great hearing Hist's voice for the first time! Anyway, I don't have too many things to say on the conversations that took place. I'll still continue to listen though!
  • Thanks for having me, guys! It was a lot of fun, and you actually made me sound good. :)

One thing I have to correct, and unfortunately it's about one of the first things I said, is about the podcast I do for work. When I say that we script our intros "because otherwise they would sound terrible," that's totally because of me and the lack of ability to freelance something like that. Jenny could do it wonderfully if I wasn't bringing her down. :)

I'd definitely come back whenever you'll have me.

Edit: And I can't believe I talked about our podcast but neglected to say the name. It's "Down the Hall" (I really need to work on this advertising thing)

Where's the link for the podcast?!? OH, there it is. :D Just kidding...it was a great show, but who was that special guest you had on, some new guy? Didn't recognize his name.
  • Dug the show, guys. Keep it up. Butter my biscuits is equal parts amusing and disturbing as a saying.
  • You guys did an awesome job! And I have to agree about Shootist2600's FanFic Fellowship. It's a wonderful idea and a great opportunity for gamers who are willing to let those creative juices flow. I'll be contributing to that sometime in the future. I just need to pick which game universe I want to give it a try with. Oh, and Daniel… Macs aren't all THAT bad. It's the only thing I've been using for the past year or so and I absolutely love it. In my opinion, I find it better and easier to use. But that's just me. ;) Anyway, great job guys! I look forward to the next episode.
  • Great show...as it has now been over 10 hours since I finished the episode I can't remember the specifics I wanted to comment on except...it's not tog nick it's T O G Nick...other than that...it was fun...I'm cranky...sick...work was rainy and cold, and my feet are soaked...so yeah...anyway great times even if I listen sporadically I'm trying to make an effort to get back into the GIO podcasts again...luckily it's three and you guys release on a fairly consistent day...unlike another Podcast I know that just posts whenever they want...that stupid 4th Floor...it makes no sense...
  • I apologize for not watching this sooner. Considering I won and all but YAY! I got monies! Or subscription.

Oh and THANK YOU for pronouncing my name right. You won't believe how many people say it "Vortax".

Oh and I still stand by my point whether discussing on or off-line. A 10 on Gameinformer used to mean that ONE game that came by every now and then that stood above the rest. Where it was nearly flawless, it pushed the industry forward, lived up to the hype, and then some. A 10 should also be that once in a great while and not something you might find every other issue or so.

It just feels like review inflation now.

Also I find it really odd how everyone's praising Nintendo now for finally implementing motion control properly when they should have done it right the first time 5 years ago. As if no one wants to say "took you long enough" but rather they're acting like Nintendo is a third party developer who proved everyone wrong about Motion control.
