There's a chill in the air. At your local mall, there's a fat man in red with little screaming kids on his lap. That's right, it's almost time for Christmas! This year's hottest toy is undoubtably the Zhu Zhu Hamster. A quick look at Ebay shows that you can buy a 5 pack of these toys, with accessories, for a cool $300(One listing). However, $40-$50 (another listing) seems to be the more indicative price. You can buy these toys, in store, for $10. Why the massive markup? It seems to be media induced. Most stores have these in stock either online or in store. But the massive hype around these things, as well as fear that there are only limited numbers, are driving people to Ebay and other auction sites thinking that the only way to get the toy is to pay the premium. So, my question is, how much would you pay for a toy hamster?
