Pride...

Ako Mismo = Filipino for "Just Me"

As more news is going on in the world, I think it is safe to say that I'm am proud to be 100% Filipino. I am Pinoy and I always will be. I am also glad to be part of a wonderful community, a wonderful culture, and a wonderful life. From Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao being the number one Pound-for-Pound best boxer in the world to the inspirational works of Efren"Kuya Ef" Penaflorida and winning CNN's Hero of the Year. I am also glad we have the talented miss Charice Pempengco who sings beautifully to many at such a young age. The new lead vocalist for the band Journey, Arnel Pineda is also an inspiration for his talanted works and his hardships, and all of his charatiable works. Apl. De. Ap from Black Eyed Peas gives many people powerful lyrics from songs like "Where is the Love?" and "Bebot". The works of Corazon Aquino, which helped the Philippines overthrow the dictatorship by means of her "people power". I'm also happy to have the prison dancers of Cebu and all of their silly antics and preformances. They are all the inspiration and they all make me proud to say that I am Pinoy.

I think pride also a hard thing to find within it self and within today's society. To many people that I see don't take pride on who they really are. They are not themselves because of this. They try to conform with the world and brings them down. They just need to start being themselves a bit more, and collectivly, we all need to be ourselves and take pride of who you really are.

I'm am very proud to be Pinoy, and I'm also very proud to be a gamer, an Anime/Manga lover, and as a member to be here on Game Informer. I take pride in what I do, and who I am today. There is no shame of taking pride for what you love or for what you like to do. Pride comes from the heart. Love and Pride go hand in hand and I'm sure none of you, the readers, don't have something to be proud of. I feel truly honored and blessed that I come from a loving family, and loveable friends. My family and friends are the people that I am most proud of, because without them, I would be nothing.

In conclusion, I am also truly venerated that I am part of this wonderful GI Community, I am proud to be part of this world, and I am proud of who I am today.

As I leave this blog, here is some inspirational quote from Efren Penaflorida.

"You are the Change that you dream, and collectivly, we are the change that this world needs to be."

Thank you readers for taking the time to read, thank you, arigato, salamat and mabuhay!

  • Cool blog. :)

  • Very nice. National and Ethnic Pride is a great thing. They even have parades, if you are savvy enough to get in on the ground floor.

  • Pretty good write up. I agree. We all need to take pride of our roots. A plant without its roots, will never become strong and grow.
